Nice little resort.Spent 2 nights here and enjoyed it.The resort only consists of small bungalows. What makes it attractive here.However, the bungalows are slowly becoming in need of renovation.We only used the restaurant for breakfast and it was sufficient, fresh and tasty.Overall, I can recommend it very well. We would like to be here.

An amazing place to visit. My family only stayed for one night, which certainly isn't long enough to appreciate the whole experience. I would recommend two or three nights here.The journey started at Pak Meng beach (45 mins. drive from Trang Town) where the long tail boat Took about 45 minutes to reach this island, Koh Ngai. The boat lands directly on the beach opposite the reception and bar/restaurant building for the resort. The view, calm sea, beach and surrounding forest and hillside are truly wonderful to look at and experience.The rooms (beach huts) are lovely and simple enough. Clean and comfortable.The bar and restaurant is really good with friendly staff. There are more bars and restaurants up and down the beach to choose from, although I didn't go to any of them.Snorkeling in the sea was great, saw plenty of fish, crabs and some eels. We walked to the south end of the beach for a few minutes where the sand ends where the bay ends and becomes rocky to see more fish.There is a breeding pair of hornbills who have a (large!) bird box in one of the trees close to the reception area and they are great to watch as they fly around the branches. My children loved watching them hunt and forage. No photos of them unfortunately.Highly recommend visiting here if you are in the Trang/Phang Nga bay area.

The best hotel on the island, location 100% as the only beach directly in front of the hotel is without stones. This is important at low tide, when the water recedes 150m. The rooms are very clean, the air conditioning works. Staff very accommodating and willing. Best impression of Thailand so far.

Really first class resort. Great accommodation in detached bamboo thatched bungalows, silent Aircon and facilities. Everything works and rooms are kept very clean. Great to hear the dawn chorus as the location is in a jungle clearing.Lovely attentive staff, great breakfast with excellent espresso coffee. Restaurant serves lovely food and drinks all day. Perfect beachfront location.

This is a fantastic resort. It’s simple but nice and clean. The staff is really friendly and they can speak english. The part of the beach down the resort was the best part of the beach on Koh Ngai. The food was good but the breakfast could offer more option to vegans and vegetarians. ||We want to go back!

The hotel is not worth the price. The worst during our 3 week stay. First of all, the smell of the sewage in the house was unbearable and the air conditioning had to be on all the time because otherwise it was impossible to stand the smell. After reporting it at the reception, a nice lady brought us some incense 😂 The bed is a sheet with a blanket on it - that was the impression when lying on it. Breakfast was very poor. The waiters were young, very nice people, but they were just learning their profession. No one in the bar knew how to make a drink even though it was listed on the menu. The beach is beautiful and the location of the hotel is also beautiful, but the houses themselves need renovation. I think there should be more going on in the evenings because in other hotels it was buzzing with life, you could have a delicious drink and even listen to live music, while in Mayala Beach there were only staff wandering from corner to corner and tourists passing by...

It is a place to stay next to the sea. The beach front can be played in the water all day long. And when the tide is low, you can walk around and look at the coral on the beach. There are no boats parked in front to cause much chaos. Few people, quiet beach Suitable for people who want to relax. Lovely staff Take good care of customers

This hotel is located in paradise, the beach and water are like in Maldives. Reachable by 30 min speedboat from Ko Lanta. This is the perfect place to relax as the island is very quiet, are only few hotels with bars, restaurants, massage and travel agency which can arrange tours to the neighborhood islands.

Probably the nicest hotel on the island, the rooms are very nice, although perhaps the floors could use some updating. Still a fantastic beach where you can relax. It is very idyllic and the staff always tries to fulfill your every wish! Unfortunately, this SPA area no longer exists. Maybe it will come back to life again? Special thanks to our waiter Toy, who showed us a lot and explained a lot, he took a lot of time for us.

Un-exciting accomodation in one of the most enchanting beaches in the world.The beds are big and the showers with good pressure.The rooms are spotlessly clean.Nothing else is exciting BUT...... right in front of Mayalay is the pretties stretch of white, soft, flawless sand in this already flawless beach.This makes for probably the best option on the island.Somewhat understaffed, but the fellows who are there are well natured and helpful!

When we are in Thailand we have to spend a few days here. Very quiet, there are no roads, a fantastic view of the white beach with turquoise sea. An offshore reef great for snorkeling. The bungalows are simple and functional but very comfortable.
