I found it to be a lovely and comfortable hostel for how cheap it is. Railay is very small so it's only a few blocks away to walk to everything. I'm not giving it 5 stars only because they should change the illegality of leaving your passport, everything else is perfect.

Discrimination and racism by the person in charge at the reception. I wanted to stay one more night but the lady in charge told me I was sorry WE CANNOT HAVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU, even though the place says that people over 35 are not accepted, of which I am a minor. She simply said no, and when I left she told me that the freight elevator was only used at a specific time of the day, which is a lie.

Staff were friendly- although wouldn’t recommend the hostel building work started 8am and everything seems unfinished. Hugeeee metal stair case to walk up every time which is scary especially when wet(although they have a pulley for your bag which is good) bathroom layout was really odd and sink leaked water onto your feet. You also have to pay to fill up your water bottle. Great for a one night stay tho.

The only thing I found good was the views from the pool.The receptionists are not local people, they are European guys simply limiting themselves to completing a day of work or volunteering, the attention was very fair and cold.The A/C was right above me, barely 40 cm away.Away from everything. They keep the passport. Refilling a water bottle costs more than doing it in the machines at the laundry downstairs, or even buying a bottle of water at the minimart downstairs.Basically there are very young people who want to drink alcohol.

It’s a party hostel! I would not recommend staying here if you aren’t on the party buzz- had a great sleep after a few drinks the first night, really struggled sleeping sober the second. The location is just incredible, jungle fowl roaming around the outdoor site, amazing views, close to everything we needed. Stairs are fine don’t know why people are complaining.The food in the restaurant is really really good tho, we had fabulous breakfast every morning! And the staff are giving it 100% making sure everyone is included in activities.No curtains on the beds tho so bring a sheet/towel.

I got sick during my stay and had to stay in the room most of my stay. The bathroom has a drain behind the toilet and the toilet did not work as it should, so both faeces and urine came out the back of the toilet after people had used the toilet. Imagine what it's like when you shower and you see faeces 60cm away on the floor. Being sick made me feel like I was in a nightmare when I was bedridden and couldn't use the toilet because of all the progeny from the toilet. The receptionist happened to drop by and I explained the problem to her. She said she didn't see the problem and made me get out of bed to show her. She finally saw the problem and was going to send someone to come and look at it, no one came for 5 hours before someone who also works at the hostel came to turn on the air conditioning. Fortunately, she took me seriously and sent a person to look into it. A person came to look at it but nothing was washed, but the toilet was closed for flushing. For someone who was ill in bed, this was a very disgusting situation to be in. There was a smell of faeces in the bedroom because of this addition. The bedrooms are quite ordinary and the facilities at the hostel were decent. Had it not been for poor maintenance and frivolous staff, it would have been a good hostel for young people traveling

Pool wasn’t working, one of the main reasons why I booked here. And don’t get the 10 bed dorm, no windows and not the best shape, better spend 1€ more.

Great hostel for the price. They have fun events most nights. The view is amazing and the pool is very nice to play in. Basic room was basic as expected, bed was comfy enough, AC was cool.

Had a great time and the hostel is clean and fun if that’s what you’re looking for. Very much a party/drinking based hostel but they sell themselves as that and don’t disappoint. Met a great bunch of people here and although the stairs up are long they aren’t the end of the world. Free leg day. A few of the staff/reps are a bit young and immature but most are lovely and welcoming. Would 100% recommend.

hostel is overall pretty good. atmosphere is nice, pool is great, view is beautiful, a/c works well (on from 6pm to 11am) and beds are comfy (but thailand hard).giving 4 stars because we were VERY encouraged to do the 4 island boat tour which unfortunately was such a waste of money and time. we bonded with the entire group of travelers from the hostel after we got back bc of how much we all hated it. we spent way too much time just sitting on the boat doing absolutely nothing except for getting sea sick. the time on the actual islands (which were really cool) was so incredibly limited. if we had actually been able to have more time on the islands exploring and enjoying the sunset even, then it would have been great. but the majority of the time was spent just swimming or sitting on a non-moving boat packed with people getting sea sick. also not sure why the staff were so aggressive with everyone drinking and getting drunk themselves.otherwise, the hostel itself was nice and i would recommend it!
