The best hostel during my 2 month tripThis hostel is really an absolute insider tip. The beds are extremely comfortable and I have rarely slept so well. Everything is super clean and the owner always makes sure everything runs smoothly.In the lower area there is a cozy chill room where you can relax or play a game of table tennis - it's really fun and perfect for unwinding after a long day.A real highlight was that the owner took us on a fantastic tour of the island for free because he had time. He is incredibly welcoming and such a nice person that you immediately feel like you are part of a group of friends.The hostel offers the perfect balance between a lively party hostel and a quiet retreat.The air conditioning can be adjusted as desired. The hostel has its own cafe that serves the best coffee I've tasted in Asia. If you get along well with the owner, you might even get something for free. His local tips were also worth their weight in gold. My stay was simply 11/10.I would really recommend this hostel to everyone. It's a great place to meet new people, relax and enjoy the island to the fullest.

Stayed here in dorms for full moon party. Everything was clean, and the manager was very nice and super helpful with organizing everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and had curtains and the rooms had great AC.

Cannot recommend this hostel enough. Booked last minute for the full moon party and so glad I stayed here. The showers were nice and hot and the hostel was clean and spacious. The owners are so nice and are always on hand to help and ensure you have a good stay. There was free painting pre full moon and the owners told us all about each event or activities to do each day. The hostel next door runs a free trip everyday that our hostel was kindly enough to be invited on. Hair dryers were a huge bonus and the Wi-Fi connect was always good! The coffee downstairs was also the best I’ve had in Thailand. 10/10 would stay again

Had a very pleasant stay at Baan Kai Hostel, Nuum and Buatong were very considerate hosts and had awesome recommendations to where and when to visit some areas of the island. They are very nice and always had an uplifting aura. Beds are comfy and clean. A little outside of the main town but I definitely recommend this place! :D

By far one of the best Hostels I stayed in!Rooms:The rooms are clean and the beds pretty comfy. The showers and bathrooms are clean as well, you have hot water and everything is cleaned daily. All windows have Mosquito nets (Huge Bonuspoint).Downstairs is a large community area (nuums coffee) to get to know the other guests or customers of the coffee.Location:The hostel is located between the party area of Koh Phangan (Haad Rin Beach) where the full-moon and half-moon parties take place (and many others as well e.g. OXA, Waterfall) and the town where you arrive by ferry (Thong Sala). It's easy to go to Haad Rin by bike or taxi. The same goes for Thong Sala where you can visit night and food markets.Since the hostel is also a coffee bar (and definitely one of the best if not the best on Koh Phangan) you can treat yourself all-day with awesome coffee and tea (try the iced versions 😌)Right Next to the hostel is a really good and authentic Thai Kitchen. You can watch the cook at work, the prices are low and the food is amazing 😍Service:The Hostel Team gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do on the island and even showed us around one day. Which was by far the best tour ever. We saw a lot of nice spots and had a lot of fun. They helped us after we lost our credit card and phoned the Thai bank for us. And when we had a small accident they accompanied us to the hospital.They're super friendly, know the island and hang out with the guests (if time allows).The hostel is super familiar and we had an awesome stay with Tong and Nuum as our hosts. We hope to come back soon.(the pictures show spots of the tour they took with us)

The owners of the hostel were both so accommodating. Super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.The hostel is clean and comfortable.During our stay the owners made us a buffet meal on new years eve and the food was to die for.Amazing coffee with homemade carmel syrup!

The hostel is rather small, but that's what makes it so familiar. Nuum enjoys spending time with his guests and showed us a lot of the island. The accommodation has everything you need. Lockers, 3 showers, 2 of which have toilets. And much more...You don't even have to leave the house to have a good coffee in the morning!

One of the nicest hostel stays I've had so far! Nuum is such a great host and created a good vibe from the start. A small hostel crew quickly formed and we were at the fullmoon party with them. It was just perfect!Nuum gave us lots of tips and on my last evening there we all went to a viewpoint with him and Tong - such a good end! It just felt like staying with friends.The hostel also has Nuums Café (the best coffee in Thailand!) and there is a very good and cheap restaurant right next door. Everything is just great!

Great hostel in Koh Phangan. We enjoyed our stay so much! The whole hostel is so clean, the beds are comfortable and generally it's very cozy. Nuum also makes the best coffee and gives the best tips on what you have to see on the island :) thanks for the great stay!
