Haad chao phao resort

I have stayed at several resorts on Koh Phangan and this was by far my worst experience. The rooms smelled like drains and simply didn't do justice to the price. The bathroom was dirty and had a broken window. But the main reason for my bad impression is the totally unfriendly hotel management. I was inexplicably not given back my deposit of 1000 baht and was treated in the most disrespectful manner by Aleksandra (owner). The other employees were nice and there is nothing wrong with the location of the resort. I would not recommend the resort. You can definitely find nicer accommodation with better value for money on Koh Phangan. If you want to save yourself stress, you should stay away from the Haad Chao Phao Resort.

The rooms are very dirty, small. If there is no other choice then this can be the last option. The ambiance is good but the room quality is worst.

Only location good

February 2024. I finally found the most unsafe, dirty, expensive and tacky hut I have ever seen in my life. There is no hygiene, no cleanliness, everything is broken and tawdry. Towels smell bad, there are stains on the sheets. We couldn't sleep because everything was full of holes and insects and mosquitoes. The mosquito net is full of holes. I chased a mouse for the first time in my life. It was difficult to calm my lover down. There is a fan but it is very noisy. There is no air conditioning. There is no employee at the reception. Locking the door is torture. Security is zero. There is no such thing as private space, the huts are very close to each other. Very expensive. The pictures on the sites do not reflect reality. This place has nothing to do with a resort, don't be fooled by its name. They take a deposit of 1000 Baht, but the entire cabin is not worth that much. This is the worst place on Koh Phangan. The only employee is rude and grumpy, doesn't speak the language and pretends to understand but doesn't. There are many dogs around. Go somewhere else, stay away from here.

Accommodation experience below all criticism, not worth the price compared to the value.The manager of the place without humane treatment, when we came to complain at reception we received anti-Semitic treatment towards Israelis!Uncomfortable bed, unclean rooms, the shower has vents without mesh obstruction (like a hole in the wall), insects all over the room.May the hotel's location and beach not be your consideration! There are many more places around.

The rooms are soooo below standard for the price. The angle of the floor in the bungalows are way off as you can see in the picture.A lot of insects in the bungalow and bathroom, snails and snail poo everywhere 😂The woman working there, Alexandra, is very arrogant and rude. She even asked us to clean our own room when the cleaning ladies had missed to do it five days in a row even after us asking daily for cleaning.

Bad experience in 23 years of traveling in Thailand.We had booked the beautiful bungalow right on the beach for €100 for (4 people) one night, but we got 2 absolutely filthy bungalows in a row with 20 others, far away from the sea.The distance between the bungalows is 0.5 meters, no privacy possible.Alexandra, the manager, is totally arrogant and said that his boss doesn't speak Thai when I tried to complain to him.The pictures are taken fraudulently, in my opinion this is done on purpose to trick people into booking.I have never had such a bad experience in 23 years of traveling in Thailand.

Worst service ever. Worst host. Worst atmosphere. Endless mosquitoes. Don't go there

A disaster! the worst place we have been!we arrive we leave a deposit of 1000 bath, there is no air conditioning no fridge, it's very small with just a holey, torn and dirty mosquito net! the photos are misleading, the bungalow is more of a cabin of very poor quality, worn and damaged..... I have several photos to support it!they had put paint on the floor to remove a stain it was not dry it smelled very strongly of paint when we arrived plus it was when we got off the bed and at the entrance to the bathroom in the end we walked on it in the night without intending to do so we got lots of paint on our feet, huntingtoilet had not been flushed! with "tire" marks and urine at the bottom beuuurrkkk! bathroom open to the outside, mold stains everywhere, DIY sink faucet blah blah, when we flushed the toilet in the night it didn't want to stop, we took half an hour to try to stop it.The worst part was the mattress!! a spring mattress of very, very poor quality, they added something on top that looked more like a floor mat because it was so hard which only accentuated the discomfort of the mattress! we asked if they had a solution to offer us because of course when we woke up we had pain everywhere: back, neck....! she told us no, it was the same in all the bungalows... she could have given us a better quality bungalow because there was always availability online, but I think that money and being able to rent was more important that the well-being of its customers...the small terrace only damaged benches too, they often had to repaint everywhere to hide the misery and no tables.Only a small trash can in the bathroom and to top it off one of the steps to go up to the bungalow completely collapsed under our weight they repaired with a wooden board!Behind this cabin it's dirty! there are barbed wire, water from the bungalow from another spring behind is pouring out.The view is facing a wall, the beach access is not far away but frankly not terrible, dilapidated, broken stone benches, the sea water is dirty too....No room service or breakfastDon't trust the photos!We paid dearly! far too expensive!good points:4 pillowsand their dogs who come to sleep on the terrace at night... it didn't bother us, we love animals!there's even a tip box for the dogs..... that's up for debate lol!*note that for a little more than half the price a few days before in Panghan we had really better with air conditioning, fridge, real terrace, kitchen and above all a comfortable mattress and for the same price (1 day less) in Samiu a few days before also, we had a room with a small private pool, sea view, air conditioning, fridge and kitchen, breakfast and room service! a 3 star!so we are really disappointed it ruined our last 4 days on koh panghan a little, we deserve a refund!ha yes there is no swimming pool!!!
