We received a free upgrade to a larger room because the standard rooms are currently being renovated. Nice and big and bright. The buffet for breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and the beach is beautiful. Despite the rainy season, we went swimming. The walk into town is about 500m until it starts with shops and bars. The first restaurants start after 200m. The location was perfect for us.

We flew to Thailand for the first time and immediately fell in love with this hotel and we were right))) The Jasmine room is very spacious, the rooms are cleaned daily, bottled water is replenished daily! 3 swimming pools with depths of 1.15, 1.4, 1.5 meters, a bar five meters away. The most friendly staff!

I would like to express my gratitude to the Moracea Hotel. Thanks to all the workers: cooks, administrators, waiters, security guards, janitors, gardeners, cleaners and others. You made our holiday in Khao Lak wonderful. Everyone is very attentive, kind and nice people. A beautiful area surrounded by greenery, a variety of swimming pools, delicious breakfasts. They were attentive to our requests and treated our son with love. They brought dessert for my birthday! A good beach, which, despite the bad weather, was not washed away and was the best for several kilometers.

We were guests in this really nice hotel with a very clean beach in April 2024 🤩Khao Lak is also easily accessible on foot if you want to get a little exercise despite the heat 🥵 Otherwise, you can always use taxis.The hotel complex is beautifully laid out 🌱🌴 You can also swim a few lengths in the large pools 🏊🏼♀️You can also treat yourself to a massage on the beach ☺️The breakfast was varied. The barbecue is highly recommended - this event could be booked separately on site.A few steps along the beach you could also have a good time in a small bar. 🍹

This was our first time traveling to Thailand and our choice was Moracea by Khao Lak Resort. 15 days flew by in a flash despite the rainy season. This is a very picturesque place! Charming staff and service. Very attractive rooms in typical Thai style. We felt at home here and didn't want to leave at all. But we will definitely come back here again, and certainly in the rainy season!

We loved our stay!! The staff and in particular the bar and restaurant staff really made you feel welcome and were so friendly! Great Pools and a fantastic restaurant. There are a lot of stairs and hills so please be aware of this if you have mobility difficulties. It was amazing being so close to the ocean and the pool at the same time! We would definitely return.

Amazing resort. I stayed here for 11 nights.I got a free upgrade to the Hibiscus villa with pool access (room 601).I definitely recommend these villasThe room is spacious with a separate bath and showerThe resort is big and partly build on a hill and jungle, so the roads can be steep, but they have a shuttle service.There are 5 pools and some have a jacuzzi.There is a nice beach at the resort, unfortunately it was raining season, so the sea was too rough to swim.They have an extensive breakfast with a cooking station for eggs and also a ramen station. Breakfast staff is efficient and cleans up the tables fast.Staff is very friendly, 11/10I had a leakage from the air condition and they came and fixed it immediately.The resort is on the outskirts of Khao Lak. You can walk for 15 minutes or take a taxi for 100 Baht.I recommend getting the numbers from the local taxi drivers at Khao Lak, they can pick you up anywhere. The resort has a good connection with the local taxi driversI do not recommend using the taxi station at Bang Niang Market, the drivers here are rude and make you pay more.There is a long strip with shops and restaurants in Khao Lak.Since it was raining season, there is not much to do, but it's a great place to relax or at the resortI had a Thai massage which was amazing, she was very goodCooking class was very nice organized and explainedSo here is the weird part.I ate a couple of times at the restaurant.I had 2x the tomato soup, which was very good 8/10But I also had a Thai set dinner 3 course, which was a little disappointed.Grilled chicken satay- It said grilled on the menu, but was definitely fried. I double-checked with the server, and she said it was grilled. Satay was flavourful but dry, peanut sauce was not so great. If you have been eating grilled satay for the past 7 days at the street food vendor, which was betterTom Yum Goong - a little too sour, not in balanceMassaman Curry - way too much oil, see pictureThe western food was better than the Thai food, which I found weird.Service at dinner is slower than breakfast.I recommend eating at the small family restaurants in Khao lak or Bang Niang Market. Don't go to the big restaurantsOverall, I had a great experience at this resort. The combination of jungle and beach makes it peaceful and relaxed.I definitely recommend staying at this resort.Tip: Book directly at the hotel on their website, not through a booking site. Stayed for two nights during low season, the breakfast room was still full of people. Very cozy rooms, tasty food and a beautiful beach. Not far from the local street with tons of food options and touristy shopping opportunities. Too far to walk for the most part, but taxis are always available. My only wish was for a better equipped gym.All together we had a totally wonderful stay at Moracea.

Nice resort, very nice and helpful staff. Beautiful green oasis with several swimming pools, good bars and extensive breakfast options. Unfortunately subject to aging, but we are continuously working on this. Have difficulty walking? Call 0 (reception) and ask for a 'pick up' and you will be taken somewhere in the park from your room (or breakfast room, reception, etc.) for free, otherwise it is quite steep and sometimes quite far.Want to make nice trips? Keep in mind that it often takes an hour or more to get to the meeting zone because Moracea is quite remote. The strip (should not be called an entertainment center, it is too small for that) can be reached on foot if you like a walk, otherwise there is always a -cheap- taxi at the front of the road.Super good dining options there and of course the souvenir shops, massage and pedicures, etc. Ask at reception about the market days (several days a week)!!!! Super fun and cozy, lots to buy for little and very good food for a bargain!!!! If you want a great meal out, stay at Moracea where you have a view of the sea and the food is really good.Have fun! (we also had that in the paradise called Moracea)

Had a wonderful and magical 3nights although it's the rainy season. The suite was spacious and bed very comfy with all the amenities you'd ever need. Service staff from reception, to buggy driver to restaurant to house keeping were extremely friendly and make our stay even more special. Furthermore, we were upgraded to a nicer suite so we are eternally grateful.Buffet breakfast was a delight as well especially the egg station and vegetarian options coupled with the sound of the waves makes every morning truly special. One thing to note, Moracea is located a little far from the main town but still walkable to the nearest 7-Eleven which is about 900meters away (north). Elsewhere like Bang Niang Market, it's better to take tuk tuk ride for between 150 to 200 Baht each way. Can definitely negotiate if there are other passengers.

We were there for three weeks over the Easter holidays. The staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a room with breakfast for the time, breakfast was very good and nothing was missing. Cappuccino could be a little better, but you can't ask for more from a fully automatic machine. 😅 The hotel complex is very good. The pool facilities are top.

We had a wonderful stay at Moracea. Very friendly staff. We booked a deluxe room, but ended up in a bungalow near the beach. Seeing the sea from your room and balcony is something special. With multiple pools and a long beach it never felt crowded. We often felt by ourselves.Excellent breakfast with something for everyone. From Thai rice dishes to European. Eggs and Thai soup were made on demand.Near the resort are some excellent coffee places (Ocean man cafe) and places for dinner.Rooms were clean and cleaned daily.
