The hotel was beautiful as the bungalows were hidden in the jungle. The hotel was blended into nature which I loved.Room: We were a bit unfortunate with the weather but still enjoyed our time there staying most of it inside the big room. Also the room had a huge outdoor shower which we loved!Service/Staff: The staff was very friendly and even supplied me with electrolyte solution/additional water when I got food poisoning from food outside the hotel. Also, everyone was so helpful and kind.Food: The breakfast was delicious with various things to choose from and varied even every morning. The coffee was the best I had in a hotel in Thailand.Swimming: We already knew that you can’t go swimming in the ocean but the pool definitely made up for it.I wish I have booked more than 4 nights here.So in summary; this hotel is for someone that enjoys nature, quietness and relaxation!

This might have been the best hotel I ever stayed in. The staff was super friendly and the bungalows are hidden inside the jungle. I especially liked the big outdoor shower. The highlight was the pool with the stunning view. Would love to one day come back to this amazing place.

I would like to thank the entire resort team for their excellent hospitality during my stay. The place is perfect to rest and enjoy a few days of tranquility.Positive points:The welcome at the resort was very welcoming, with a refreshing drink and a fresh, fragrant towel, which made us feel welcome from the start. The drivers who take us to the bungalows or restaurants are always very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options.Points for improvement:Unfortunately, table service only seems to work best when one of the supervisors is present. The cleaning of the rooms could be improved, as it is only done dry, without wetting the floor.Transport information: When booking online, you are informed that the only way to get to the island is by boat, with reservations needing to be made 2-3 days in advance and a cost of around €35 per person (one way) and €70 € (round trip). However, we discovered that on the website phuketferry.com it is possible to book tickets for around €12 per person, with the possibility of changing or canceling via WhatsApp. Arriving on the island, the hotel offers a taxi service for €10 (maximum 4 people), although I believe this service should be included, considering that the trip only lasts 10 minutes and the island's most famous beach is just 2 minutes away. from the pier. The same car that provides this transport is used free of charge to take guests to the beach.Overall, it was a very good stay and I recommend the resort!

Beautiful park in which cars and motorcycles are not allowed, which is a good decision. In amongst the jungle are bungalows with outdoor living rooms, outdoor showers, and indoor bedrooms with air-con (no fan). There is a small gym and the lovely restaurant is open all day. The staff are super friendly and the breakfast buffet is very complete, with Western and Thai options. We opted for cheap (but delicious) lunches at the various food stalls on the island, and then dinners back in the resort restaurant, which were excellent. We’d definitely return to this place if we chose to come back! The 4 stars for the locaton is because there seemed to be construction works going on at the beach, and also there was a sort of dam that you had to step over in order to reach the water.

It is a place to stay that I would recommend for people who like tranquility. and nature conservation There are quite a few activities here, cafe, fitness bar, food and seafood. (It was raining so I ordered to eat in my room easily. The taste is edible but not as delicious as many people have reviewed. that I was disappointed with the food here😁)Overall very good. Especially the rooms and decorative equipment There is also a free shuttle service to Laem Hat (Separated Sea) as well. I personally brought my own car. The roads on the island are convenient. There is parking near the guardhouse. and take a golf cart to the accommodation💕

Beautiful resort. Everything we could wish for. Breakfast is a big plus. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The swimming pool is large and very clean. I just expected more from the beach. Super beautiful view but you cannot easily snorkel from the beach because of the sea urchins and dangerous jellyfish.

Really something different:Koh Yao Yai is not (yet) overcrowded with tourists - things are quiet here.Hardly any traffic, hardly any tourists and few shops.Just the thing for us - if you're looking for a party, please click on.It would be nice if the place stayed as it is.Arrival:The journey is from Phuket Bang Rong Pier (north/from the airport approx. 30 minutes by taxi) by speedboat 20 minutes2024-08 Departures from Phuket 08:30, 09:30, 11:00, 13:30, 17:00The harbor master Winai (just write to WhatsApp +66 82 806 7688) organized both boat tickets and taxis in Phuket and on the island without any problems - everything was always on-time and comfortable.Thank you 😚 again.I recommend booking the taxi for Koh Yao Yai from the port to the hotel in advance... (hotel transfer or Winai at the port in Phuket). When you arrive on the small island, you quickly realize that the clock is running differently now. After a 15-minute drive you leave the main road and enter the spacious village area away from the public. In the open lobby you will be welcomed with a cool drink and given your hut keys. The area of the village is extensive and is located on a hill "directly by the sea, in the jungle" - exceptional. An incredible number of postcard motifs. The Village offers various activities, SPA, excursions, Mautainbikes, scooters etc.Overall, a very lovingly put together and well thought-out facility. Of course there are some challenges when you are directly in nature. We had very good experiences with the small local shops on the main street, where we ate delicious meals, got massages and rented scooters. 10 minutes walk to the main street. For 250 Bhatt a day - less than 10 euros - you can rent a scooter with a lot of freedom and courage to explore the island independently and get to know the country and its people better. There is absolutely no need to be afraid of hectic city or left-hand traffic. There are only a few cars on the island and they are very considerate. We visited the various, mostly empty beaches and enjoyed great restaurants. The majority of the residents on Yao Yai are Muslims. Anyone who already knows Thailand a little will also see an interesting mix of Buddhist and Muslim cultures here. The mosque calls for prayer every day. Regardless of faith, it is already spiritual when you lie in a deck chair on your hut veranda, look out into the jungle and the sounds of the forest mix with the call to prayer.(Alcoholic drinks are therefore hardly available outside of restaurants. Instead of 7/11, head to the “Family” shop.)To the Village:Depending on the owner's preference, you should take this into account when booking:The huts on the beach have sea views and direct sea access with just a little less jungle feeling-- all cabins above the lobby are in the forest and therefore do not have a direct sea view.Even if the distances are not very long (maximum 300 meters), you should be reasonably mobile/easy on foot -Due to the hilly location, the well-made paths go up and down.Normally not a problem - but I had ligament problems in my knee.... The village has a great free service with golf cars. Order via room service and you will be picked up within 5 minutes and can be driven to the beach, restaurant/pool or parking lot.
