Friends Beach Hotel

The room is just next to one night club , it’s impossible to sleep every day as they have party from 18pm every day , also no room service in one week , no new towels , no cleaning , no change bed clothes … don’t recommend it if you want to be able to sleep , even with tampons in my ears was imposible as the bed was vibrating because the loud music

We arrived after having climbed Mount Rinjani. We went in to bathe and it took a while for the hot water to come out. We asked the reception what the problem was and they told us that the heater was broken without giving us a solution. We could have been informed upon arrival so as not to go through that disappointment.

Everything just good for 1night stay

Strong smell of mold in the room, which is due to the moldy bed linen. The room is good in terms of space.

Great location for 2 days stay at Kuta Lombok.. easy to find place to eat nearby.. very close to Kuta Mandalika Beach.. perfect place to jog nearby the beach in morning.. the hotel was quite oldies, but it’s perfect for the price.. looking forward to stay here again in the future! ❤️

The room itself roughly matches expectations for this price. The bed doesn't creak too much and the air conditioning works. The TV doesn't work, the bathroom is covered in deposits and it looks like moss is growing on the toilet seat. But hey, at least there's hot water once you get the shower going.Location cannot be faulted. Within a few minutes' walk you are on the beach and the busy street with a huge choice of restaurants is just around the corner. The last stretch of road to the hotel is not yet paved, but that won't bother you much. The mosque around the corner can be heard from the room, but not loud enough to wake you up in the morning. The surfers bar is about the same distance away as the mosque, but makes more noise until the early hours a few times a week. The bass on this is better heard in the room, but ours was also on the side of the road. It may not be as bad in other rooms.The worst was the staff. In the few days we stayed here the room was not cleaned once. You have to ask for towels yourself and even if half the roll of toilet paper has run out, you have to go to reception to ask for a new one. As soon as you check in you get a brochure in front of you with an expensive surfing lesson and every day you are shouted at if you want to take a surfing lesson. Even if you say you're not interested in this. The same goes for the scooters that you can rent. On the first day we had already indicated that we would end our trip through Indonesia in Kuta with a few quiet beach days and that we were happy that the beach was so close, within walking distance. You can get there within a 5-minute walk so we didn't need a scooter. At check-in and two days before check-out we asked several times a day, every time we walked past the reception after breakfast/lunch/beach/wherever, whether we already had transportation for the onward journey. The answer was the same every time, but the question became more and more intrusive. After the final check-out, we were even followed by someone who continued to insist that they could offer a "cheap local price" for transportation. Very unpleasant.
