Majango is a nice place to rest and relax, just outside of Kuta. The staff will do anything for you and renting a scooter is very easy. Also, we did a cooking class!!! That was we great. You can pick different menu’s. We first went to the market to buy the ingredients. And then the cooking started. It was amazing to learn local, Lombok and traditional way of cooking. Thank you! We will definitely try these recepies at home!

If you’re looking for a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle this is the place to stay. Staff were super friendly, food was great, room was good. We hired a scooter directly from them which helps getting into the main strip, it’s about a 10 minute ride.

Very close to Kuta but without the tourist hustle and bustle, far enough away to be calm, it is integrated into the mountains and the jungle with fabulous views, a wonderful pool surrounded by a garden and trees with Balinese beds, the rooms of 10 wooden bungalows in high in which you sleep phenomenally, very quiet and with your own motorcycles to rent, the staff very attentive and polite

Majango Bungalows is an autenthic wooden bungalow which located in Lenser, Kuta area. This place is located on the hills where you can see the Lombok hill view, I absolutely loved it here.The property is beautiful, the rooms so unique, all the structures are built using the local materials and everything was just well-designed. The staffs were incredibly amazing. You'll have Matz (german owner) as the host, and he is nice to person to talk too during your stay, you will also greets by Eka and her husband who works as the Kitchen and the Housekeeping staff. They've been really lovely.Majango also has a swimming pool, and the vibes was just so peaceful, you will have a relaxed time and enjoy the vibes under of the Bamboo tree.Finally, the breakfast was very good, freshly made and it's worth. You should also experience what I have experienced.The Kooky (Local dog) is so cute too :) He is the vice president of Majango!I have had a great time with you guys, thank you for making my stay is memorable.

We booked only 1 night here, but ended up staying for 5. This is truly a little gem in Kuta, Lombok. The bungalows are basic, but the environment is very peaceful. 100% chance you'll see monkeys while here.The staff here are amazing. As soon as I booked online, Susan messaged me on Whatsapp and we arranged transport from Bangsal Harbour (550k to Kuta). She has been very responsive and accomodating to our requests throughout our stay. All the other staff are also so friendly and treat you like family, and it felt like a home away from home.Please be mindful that the road heading up to Majango is very steep, be careful if you are not confident on a scooter/motorcycle.Truly enjoyed staying here, if we return to Lombok, we will be back :)Thanks again

It’s a nice green place, but there are things that could be easily changed for a better experience.Plus:+ it’s very green, very nice area.+ you don’t hear the street too much, the tree line protects you from the sound of motors.+ breakfast is quite tasty, although 3/4 options are sweet, and there is no local food. (Granola, smoothie granola, pancakes and omelet) and is home made.+ there is a mosquito net on the bed+ there is an option to have dinner at the hotel. We had one evening the gado gado and the Kwatiau, both were freshly made for us and tasty.+ little area with hamac and couch in the shade to chill under your bungalow. But if your neighbours are there you can just listen to their conversation instead.+ they provide a Google doc with a lot of general recommendations. And we agreed with the comments on all food options I tried.Minus:- there is only one weak light in the room, would have been nice to have lights at the side of the bed.- the curtains are white and thin, they only protect you from being seen, not at all from the light. And the lights outside are on all night (one night I couldn’t sleep and I went down, put the light off. 10 min later some members of staff came in - at 4 AM! - with strong torch lamps and put all lights on. Are they afraid of the dark or something? It would be better and more economical to have all the outside lights with motion sensors.- our room (bungalow 8) was giving out on the scooter parking, so after the 1 million muezzin had woken us up, and then the sunlight, the sound of scooters arriving and starting made it impossible to sleep a bit more.- the hotel rents out scooters for 80k, but they are from members of staff and not in great conditions. In the city we could rent a much better scooter for 75k 🤷- the mosquito net was a bit smelly, would be wise to wash it from time to time.

We stayed in Bungalow 8, the first one right across to the (scooter) parking, for 4 nights.Some things to consider: It's a green oasis and looks very pretty, the room is high and the whole design of Majango is beautiful. It's very bright during daytime and due to only one bad light in the room it's very grim at night. The bathroom is situated below the room, you need to climb very steep stairs - dangerous at night! The bungalows don't have sound isolation: you will hear the muezzins before sunrise, the first and last scooters to leave or arrive, people talking to each other or being on their toilet. In total I didn't sleep very well here due to noise and light and that's sadly why I have to give 3 stars.The breakfast options were a bit too sweet-focused for me and I would have enjoyed some local breakfast options. Nevertheless it was the best quality breakfast I've ever had while traveling!The staff is very friendly and helps out with information and anything you ask for. Their recommendation list was a big plus in our time here!You can reach the place from the airport for 100.000 IDR with Grab.I considered the scooter rental overpriced with 80.000 IDR, as the 110cc one we got was in bad shape costing as much as a good 125cc one in town.My recommendation for the management: Please install more lights, maybe on the night stands? And instead of having permanent light under each bungalow, a motion sensor could be the more economic option. Please wash the mosquito nets and curtains sometimes, they were either dirty or smelly. Or even better: replace for darker curtains. Offer a hair dryer. Considering all: Thanks for everything!
