Very nice, comfortable and clean room close to the beach. Friendly staff. Good specialties at the restaurant with your feet in the sand. Good advice for transfers. laundry service. A bit expensive though

The place is very nice, big green garden area and just one step to the beach. Rooms are comfortable, but some of them need renovation. The staff is helpful. Very good location

If you need rest you must come to this resort. You don’t need to worry about anything. The personnel is extra friendly and kind.

Despite the good location with a beautiful beach, the Mermaid is too expensive for the standard offered. Rooms are sufficiently large and clean, but poorly sealed against insects. Shower - toilet unit almost bigger than the room.The room service is in my opinion poor.The quantity and taste of the food was just about average but definitely too expensive, especially the breakfast. There are also no happy hour / sun downer specials at the bar.The lack of a pool isn't a big deal, but a beach shower is definitely missing.4 deck chairs are unusable because they are made of wood and cannot be adjusted and the 2 plastic loungers for 15 bungalows are far from enough!!! Hardly any shade!!!Everything is crammed into 10m2.No service, courtesy and flexibility in helping with transfers to the islands... We had to organize everything ourselves, so a star deduction in the overall rating in terms of lack of hospitality and commitment.CONCLUSION: We will stay somewhere else next time. Unfortunately we cannot make any recommendations here.

Here there is relaxation and nothing more!!! Clean bungalows have everything you need...the guys who manage the resort are always available...they even found me a flex to cut the padlock on the backpack I had lost the keys to!!! Really good

Clean, convenient, safe, next to the beach, nice pool to play in. The receptionist is good. The downside is that the bed is not very comfortable.

Our second time here, and it's just as great 5 years later! The daughter took over from her parents; she's maintaining great standards, and learning fast. There is more traffic on the main road passing in front of the hotel, but it's not a significant inconvenience; we tried to have a glass of wine on the breakfast patio at night, but the mosquitos got us running, not the motorbikes... The mosquitos were never a problem on the beach, and seem to be mostly active from just before sunset for maybe a couple hours. The breakfast is ok; maybe a little variation and more tropical fruits would make it more interesting at little cost. Our only slight issue with the room was a moldy odour developing in the shower; it would get cleaned and eliminated, but only to come back a day later. More ventilation in the bathroom would help. Everyone here is so helpful in coordinating every guest's stay: transfers, activities, rentals, etc. Perfectly coordinated and communicated. Special thanks to Joai and Tin.Lanta Mermaid is also greatly situated for the beach: a short 5 minutes walk through the Klao Dong resort gets you to a beach with very few, generally older people.
