MAGIC HILLS BALI Magical Eco-Luxury Lodge

After two nights spent in this hotel, I can only advise you to move on. Indeed, the value for money is not there.Very light breakfast (choice of only one dish from a list) and of very average quality. Same quality meal.We came to seek tranquility in a private villa, however the staff was too insistent (numerous messages for us to confirm that we did not wish to eat at the hotel, pounding on the door 30 minutes after breakfast was dropped off to clear things).Beautiful hotel for Instagram photos but not up to par in reality!!

The staff were very helpful, the room was beautiful. We had a massage which was very good. Sleeping and waking up to the sound of nature was spectacular.

Superb newly built bamboo villa. The swimming pool and hydromassage tub with heated water are beautiful. The upstairs is very nice with a relaxation area, sofa and towel with projector for watching a film in the evening. Round bed with mosquito net positioned on the ground floor without any door or front wall so you can sleep immersed in nature. The view is postcard-like.

Really nice experience in this place. The staff is lovely, the atmosphere is amazing and the architecture of the villa was impressive.I strongly recommend this place.

After staying three nights at this place, I can tell you that it's amazing. All the staff are always looking after you. They quickly and efficiently accommodate everything you need. They're always asking what you need in order to give you their best. The facilities are amazing, and they look exactly as advertised in photos. The rooms are clean and everything is well maintained. It is the perfect place to relax and disconnect. I would definitely come back and stay at this amazing place.

Totally recommended. Excellent service, an impressive villa, cared for in detail and full of surprises.The views and surroundings are beautiful. They even have a natural pool that is wonderful. And all this in a quiet and natural environment.

Pros:Beautiful room (stayed in Nomad) that was very sheltered from view. No view of the rice paddies but that wasn’t a deal breaker.Best shower of Bali.Lots of accommodations in the room (pool / shower / tub / awesome hanging net)Interesting construction.Temperature was cool enough at night to not need air conditioning, but I imagine it might be different at hotter times in the year.Massages were awesome, the photographer was great and very professional, and the flower bath was beautiful!Cons:Food: the most abysmal food we had the entire time we were on the island. Seriously so bad, haven’t stopped talking about how bad the food was since we left there. It was inedible, and the menu was a poor attempt at copying the other eco lodge, nearly word for word, down the street (went there for all of our meals after our first few experiences of the Magic Hills food). Dietary restrictions don’t seem to be taken seriously, and when I asked about an item that had an ingredient that I can’t eat, I was told I was wrong (even though it was very obviously included).It felt like they had multiple menu options where they had no clue what they were or how to make them. For the price that we paid a night, they need to find a proper chef who can actually cook, or remove the items where they don’t know how to cook them (how can you mess up nachos???). There’s also very few other food options in the area, grabs (ridesharing) are basically unavailable.Activities: very expensive compared to the rest of the island, and seemed unorganized. We were asked multiple times if we had arranged transport for what we chose even though transport was included in the activity description. There were multiple points during the activities where we were being asked to pay again, even though we were paying through the hotel. Seemed like there was a consistent lack of communication between everyone involved - even though walkie talkies were everywhere you looked on the staff members.Eco Lodge: a true eco lodge wouldn’t wrap everything in multiple layers of single use plastic wrap so tightly you couldn’t get it off without cutting it or spilling food.Would not return and I wish we had just spent the extra money on the resort that’s right down the street from them (better food, kinder staff, better service). We knew their waiter by name after eating there twice and he remembered my husband’s coffee order (which never would’ve happened at Magic Hills). This was the place I was looking forward to the most on our honeymoon and it was so disappointing.

Amazing Place. Room had a jacuzzi, 2 BR in a villa. Free room service. Good food. A hanging net to laze around with hills around you. Open toilets. Having a bath amongst the plants was the best feeling. …

This place is really magic! We stayed in an outdoor villa and we absolutely loved it. Is a must visit place in Bali, you should definitely experience this.Each bamboo villa is unique and has everything you need. Even if it’s in the middle of nature you have all the confort and even more!The view is stunning and the pool is very nice.We slept very good here.We will definitely come back!
