In my 12 years of coming to Bali – this has been my favourite stay. The manager, Joe, and his team are incredible. Very friendly and they go out of their way to make sure we are enjoying ourselves. The property is quiet. They have 6 bungalows going up the property (big rock steps – maybe not good for prams, wheelchairs or the elderly). The food is great. The bintangs are always good. The arak attacks are refreshing. The infinity pool is the best. It is at a remote part of eastern Bali – near the village of Amed. Sunrise and Sunsets. Joe – I will be back!(Edit) Date is 13/10/2024 and I have returned. I still have the same feelings towards this place as I did last time. I have read some of the reviews and some of them are ridiculous. Wawa Wewe Rock is in the rural part of Amed (if you want options, go closer to Amed proper). The food is simple, good quality and adequate for this place. The rooms are simple, but also beautiful. I love that I can hear the geckos that live amongst the rocks and in the roof. They are harmless and cute. The staff have never been rude - they are beautiful people.

Booked a room with a view on Booking, got a room facing a wall instead. They mix photos to trick people, and when I complained, staff and owner just gaslighted me. Ruined my child’s vacation, and they didn’t care to fix it. While some rooms have views, the location is far from Amed. Wouldn’t recommend this place for honesty or good service.

If you are looking for tranquility and serenity, this hotel is for you. Lost 10 minutes by car from the center of Amed, it offers a breathtaking view of the sea. We were very well received, lovely, very clean room.Possibility of taxi from the hotel to Padangbai port for 500k.

Our experience at the resort |I was dissatisfied with room 2 for having a big rock or bolder in the room, which I found unsafe. |The restaurant food was nice but menu limited with options |The stairs very unsafe at night.|The shower hit and miss with water

Wawa Wewe Rock is a modest property located in Amed, Bali, known for its ocean views and tranquil atmosphere. The setting offers a peaceful environment, ideal for travelers seeking a quiet retreat. The property has basic amenities, including a deep pool, and simple rooms. (Warning! Room 2 has a boulder in the middle the room that is a trip hazard at night). The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is NOT well-situated for exploring local restaurants and shops without transport requiring driving/riding along very dangerous pot-filled, unlit roads, however good snorkelling areas are not too far away if you hire a driver. While the property offers a pleasant experience overall, some aspects, such as the age of the facilities, could benefit from updates. Also, older travellers should know that the stairs to the rooms are steep, deep and uneven. As for the menu, in out 8 night stay we sampled every item on it's limited restaurant menu; we found that every salad was a variation of coleslaw, the Thai Chicken Curry and Chicken Curry were one of the same, as was the Wawa Spaghetti and Special Noodles. A little disappointing as the menu clearly listed all ingratiates that simply didn't turn up on the plate. Also, wine was advertised but not available during our entire stay.Whilst we mostly enjoyed our time at Wawa Wewe Rock for it's relaxing views over the ocean from the infinity edge pool, for us, we would not return.

My stay at the resort pleasant. We booked in for two weeks, but cut our time at resort to 7 days.I felt the menu was limited with choices and if wanted a bottle of wine with meal well your out of luck.My other disappointment was have a big rock in the room. Room 2Also for this we hired a car from the airport now it a 3 hour trip by car but only 97klm and the roads are atrocious. This why we ending our stay shorter, because of the road’s awfully dangerousWould I stay here again yes but only for a couple of days. And if you like cabbage, this is the place to be. The cabbage is on every dish except for the different sauce and if you want chicken you need to go looking for it. I had a dish and I swear the sauce which was Bolognese came out of the tin.

Poor kitchen. The only good thing is the view from the pool. And the pool is very deep and not suitable for children to swim in

discreet location even if accessing the sea for a swim is not for everyone, discreet rooms but the security is zero: approximate door closures and broken safe.poor and poor breakfast, lunch and dinner clearly insufficient.full of noisy, intrusive, rude local guests: in fact they requisition the few available services (swimming pool, sunbeds, etc...) from 6.30 in the morning, not allowing anyone to rest, not even in their own rooms.
