We booked a large villa and small room via booking.com 6months ago. They called us 24h before to tell us that they only had one room (the small one). And would put in an extra bed. That solution was not acceptable to us, so we cancelled the entire booking. The only good thing is that they refunded the entire booking!

This hotel managed to loose our booking through booking.com (for two rooms), so that we had to search for another location very last minute. Very disappointing. The solution offered was to have the one room still left (smallest one of the two booked rooms) and put an extra bed in it (yes, even free of charge). Needless to say this was not a solution we found acceptable at all.If you want to be sure your booking has indeed been made, start calling them well in advance, else avoid this place.

We had a wonderful stay! The surroundings are beautiful, the house is beautiful and the swimming pool is lovely. We rented a scooter through the accommodation. Restaurant is available for delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner.But the service is really the best, the staff is incredibly friendly.If we ever come back to Sidemen, we will definitely stay there again.

What a great stay this is! Wonderful to stay here if you come from a busy place like Ubud. The rooms are clean, modern and nicely decorated. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tasty. If you want to stay here, I recommend renting a scooter here immediately. Walking to the center of Sidemen is really not possible!! The scooter we got was as good as new and safe too. Thank you Kubu Sakian!

I would highly recommend Kubu Sakian to anyone visiting the area. The hotel is surrounded by rice paddies and the views are stunning in every direction. The rooms are spotless, with modern amenities, plenty of hot water and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great breakfast also! Would recommend white water rafting on the Telaga Waja river whilst you are here (we understand the river is better for rafting than the rivers around Ubud) as well as the local cooking class which included a visit to a local market and walk through rice paddies/vegetable plantations.We hired a driver for the day for a trip to Ubud to check it out and so glad we didn’t stay there. Very touristy, over priced and constant traffic. Whereas the only traffic at Kubu Sabian is local farmers coming and going to their fields and the occasional local visiting the small temple on a hill 5 minutes walk up the road.

Beautiful structure surrounded by rice fields. I particularly appreciated the cottages built with different woods, although perhaps I would have appreciated a little more natural light. Impeccable staff, always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the access road from the north is quite steep and not well maintained, the access road from the south is much better.

Hotel in the countryside 10 minutes by car from Sidemen. The room we stayed in was beautiful and comfortable. The staff are really lovely and helped us very kindly in organizing our activities. The garden is small and well maintained. The swimming pool is in the middle but it is big enough to have fun and very pleasant. A hike in the rice fields is possible from the hotel. It is better to dine there in the evening given the distance from Sideman. Consider ordering your dinner in the afternoon to avoid waiting in the evening at the restaurant.
