This wonderful place is just a 10-15 min walk from the Villages Center up the Hill.Even during Saturday night Parties it is quiet up there. The rooms are wonderful in the middle of the Jungel, you can see a lot of Wildlife just from your own Balcony. The food is also delicious. We did a 2 Day 1 Night Jungeltrek which was an amazing trip.We saw a lot of Orang Utans, Monkeys and other Wildlife. At the end of the Trip we had fun tubing down the River back to the Village. Our Tourguides Robin and Dian made the trip an unforgettable experience. Thanks to all the team of Orang Utan Bungalow for such great memories.

For my part, one of the best locations if you decide to do a trek to see the orangutansAfter a 15-minute climb from the village of Bukit Lawang, on the path leading to the entrance to the park, Orangutan bungalow is a little paradise.6 bungalows of different capacities, clean, comfortable, we spent one night before and one night after our trek of 3 days and 2 nights in the jungle. The staff is adorable, the restaurant was perfect with reasonable prices, without a doubt we recommend this quiet place to have a great time with the orangutans 😍🐒Our guide was Amry, a competent and very friendly guide, our meeting with the men of the forest will remain an unforgettable momentBest wishes

A fantastic place to discover the jungle. The accommodation is located 10-15 minutes from the town, going up the mountain. This makes it a quiet place, with views of the jungle. The staff is very attentive, our stay was great. The food was very delicious. The room is simple but has everything you need: bed with mosquito net, side tables, shower (without hot water, keep in mind that you are in the middle of the jungle...). We booked the 2-day, 1-night jungle excursion with them and our guides were the best you could have. An unforgettable experience that we recommend without a doubt.

I booked in January so I could have one of the best accommodations of my trip in August. Even so, 8 months in advance they gave me what has been for me to date the worst accommodation I have ever had. Be careful if they give you the Bamboo House. Dirty, unhealthy. I complained to the person in charge and he acted crazy indicating what he had reserved. And he invited us to leave. And they didn't even bother to provide us with proper towels or go through the room and do a minimum of cleaning. The bamboo house in question had enough dirt to say the least.Towels that were really disgusting. Leaks. The toilet bowl, horror. Not to mention the mattress. I am aware that you are in the jungle but that is not incompatible with cleanliness nor does it mean that I want to sneak in free. Of course you can judge from the photos if this is a Deluxe accommodation as they sold me on Google, I'm not saying that the rest of the houses are not idyllic but the bamboo house is a terror. Apart from this, I inform you that there is more than 15 minutes of climbing stairs up the mountain (although this is the lesser evil if they had really given us the contracted accommodation)

The accommodation is outside the town in beautiful gardens, which guarantees absolute tranquility at night. The restaurant's food is very good, especially the gado gado. In addition to the excursion to Gunung Leusser Park, they organized transportation for us from Medan airport and to Berastagi that we could share with other guests and the drivers were very friendly and professional, with good cars and AC. Totally recommended

Very nice location and accommodation. You are really close to the jungle. We have seen lung macaques, Thomasleaf monkeys and even two Orangutans here in the garden! The food here is super tasty and not expensive. The people who work here are extremely helpful and nice. The rooms look neat!

Great accommodation. 15 mins walk out of town (uphill). Staff will carry your bag for a fee. That’s more than fair.Did 2 day 1 night jungle trekking. Great experience. Amri and Dian made this trip special. The food during the trip was tasteful and we saw many animals, including several orang utan and gibbon. Do not expect glamping. Basic it is. But it is part of the experience. The bungalow staff was very helpful and friendly.Loved our stay.

An amazing place right at the edge of the national park where I saw orangutans in the grounds 3 days in a row!The room I stayed in was basic but had everything I needed and worth way more than what they charge for it.The food in the restaurant was the best I have had in Indonesia and the menu varied and very reasonably priced. The family go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and they can organise day tours, treks and transportation for you.I did a jungle trek with them and it was absolutely fantastic. The guides were amazing and we were treated like royalty with enough food to feed a football team!A steep walk uphill to get there but worth it for the peace and quiet, and if you are doing a jungle trek you will have to walk up the hill anyway as this is the last property before you enter the national park.
