We enjoyed our stay here. They had a babybed available for rent. Also bikes with childseat to rent, the bikes were an essential to explore the island. The staff made us feel welcome and were always very friendly and helpfull. The room was clean and tidy, also some nice towel creations :) It was quiet during our stay. The location is perfect, beach around the corner and harbour in about 10 minutes.The only complain is that the white color of my new striped bikini turned yellow after swimming 1 time in the pool :( I asked the reception about this but he said i should check my labels, maybe the bikini was not suitable for the pool. This didnt make sense, i’ve used it this holiday in other pools as well. Also it felt like they need to do some renovations and maintenance, especially when its low season. Overall we think the room rate was a bit too much for what we got comparing our other stays elsewhere.

Samata resort careers for couples and families in clean, comfortable and quiet villas nestled around a large pool.Our host, Herry, is a super nice guy and made us feel very welcome; helping to organise everything from snorkeling, and restaurants to a day trip to Lombok.The location is one of the best on the island, and you really do need to pick this area for 'off the beach' snorkeling, as many areas of the island are not suitable for direct reef entry from the beach.Really recommend Samata Villas.

Very nice location and a few minutes walk from the beach and the main street. Accommodation is in need of maintenance. This was already told upon arrival, great honesty (it takes the longest, doesn't it). Gili Air in general was a bit disappointing for me.

The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to go snorkeling, but if you prefer to go to good beach clubs you have to head to the other side of the island.The staff is very professional and responsive, the rooms are cleaned well every day.For the bedroom, all that is missing is a mosquito net because the bathroom is outside so if you don't remember to close the door, you will be in for mosquitoes.The swimming pool is clean and large, it is a pleasure to swim there alone at the end of the day when it is no longer possible outside due to low tide.

Ideal location close to everythingAdorable, smiling and dedicated staff!Minimalist and repetitive breakfastLittle choice (fruit pieces, omelet/scrambled eggs and banana/annana pancake), cereal petals or chocapics, 2 fruit juices and coffee or tea and basta.For a 4* it's fairRoom rating, not perfect and lack of towel hooks and salt water (like everywhere on the island) so sticky floors...Otherwise great pool and good value for money

We spent 6 nights at Samata, we felt at home. The staff was great, very kind and efficient, a big thank you to Harry! The swimming pool is magnificent and the bungalows are very pleasant for families. It's good to live there.We were a few meters from the sea and fish restaurants. Very well located on the island and close to the port (which will save you from having to take a carriage for your suitcases).We recommend with your eyes closed!

Samata Village is a charming hotel that, despite showing some signs of wear over time, maintains its appeal. The outdoor showers are beautiful and add a special touch to the experience; however, an opaque bathroom door would be a nice addition to avoid the morning light.The breakfast buffet, although not very extensive, is tasty and satisfying. What truly elevates our rating to 5 stars is the exceptional service provided by Christoph, the manager, and his team. They are professional and incredibly kind, always ready to assist with a smile.Our stay didn't start on the best note due to issues caused by our tour operator, Icarion, with whom we had an unfortunate experience. However, Christoph handled the situation with positive energy and a great willingness to find the best possible solution, for which we are eternally grateful.
