Not a good place to stay because of poorly maintained bungalows with crappy AC and non-working Wi-Fi with really bad customer service and a lack of care overall. When we booked, it seemed like a nice, cosy place to stay but when we got there, it was clear the photos were a little deceiving. Yes, everything basically looked the same as advertised, however, we — almost instantly — realised how poorly managed and how unmaintained the whole place is.The AC was absolutely poor: I don't know if it had been a while since the freon had been refilled, the gaps in the bungalow ceiling were barring the room from getting cool or if it the whole thing was just badly maintained and we were literally sweating the whole time whilst in the room. The Wi-Fi just would not connect: sometimes it would connect for a couple of minutes before just disconnecting and other times the entire Wi-Fi network would just disappear and not show up in the available list of connections. I tried to use my mobile data and I couldn't even get a signal whilst inside the bungalow. I was on "EDGE" the whole time and I had to go and sit out on the patio if I wanted to be online. This wouldn't have been too much of a big deal, I mean, yes, sometimes it's good to be disconnected from your phone and have a break from all that, but the room also didn't have a TV or anything so there wasn't much to do whilst relaxing in the room. And my wife also had to make a couple of important video calls which were a nightmare to do with the lack of connectivity. My suspicion is that because we were in the bungalow right at the end, we were far away from the router and therefore couldn't pick up a strong enough signal. That's just poor planning, in my opinion. There was a fair bit of noise from the surroundings: the bungalows are not built to be soundproof at all. Just saying. I know it's not the resort's fault that there's a mosque and a very loud tokeh nearby but I think given everything else I think it's just the lack of maintenance the bungalows receive. On the second night of the stay, we packed up our things and went to a much better hotel around the corner. I informed a member of staff as I handed back the key and let her know the reasons of why we were checking out two nights early and she sounded very surprised. It's pretty clear that the staff have no idea about how to manage a resort like this.Cherry on top: I remember a few days prior to checking in, I messages the resort via WhatsApp to ask about the airport shuttle service. They told me the cost would be Rp 700,000 just for a car ride from Lombok Airport to Bangsal and I would have to arrange my own way across to Gili Air and to the resort. If I wanted an all-inclusive, door-to-door service the cost would be Rp 1.2 million which is an insane price for this kind of thing.Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal and I hate to sound like a high-maintenance diva, but this place wasn't exactly cheap. I've stayed at cheap hotels before where it's like less than Rp 100,000 a night and all this can be expected for an OYO or a RedDoorz or a local guest house. But when you're running a so-called "resort" in a highly sought-after area? I don't think it flies. It shouldn't, anyway. Especially when it's out of lack of care, maintenance and professionalism.
