great place to stay on the island with friendly staff that keep the place clean. room was clean & comfy. ac, spotty wi-fi, hot water shower & outside chill area. everything was great just need a fridge in the room. highly recommended.

We stayed st Joevana Cottage in July 2024. We had one of the upper rooms, it was spacious enough for two suitcases. We also liked the area in front of the room, it was great for ordering in food, have a beer or just relax.For us, the location was good, only a couple of minutes away from the main road, so no party music at night.The staff was always friendly and helpful.The roof was very thin, so we could hear the mosque quite loudly (you can hear the mosque probably everywhere on the island) and you can also hear the music from the hostel next door, but they always left at 10pm so that didn't bother us. But if you have a light sleep, this is probably not the best place for you to stay.

So booked 3 nights and stayed 2. Had a good chat with the staff about my issues. Asked for a refund for the last night but seemed like owner really didn't care even though staff reported it to himMain issue: construction right next door to my room - starting from 8ish to 12ish. Think they're expanding a bit. Noises consist of large constant thumps and hammering. Impossible to rest. And rebooked elsewhere. The waste of time an issue. I tend to book places with good reviews so I can just relax on my holidayExtra issues : cockroach in the bathroom, wall had space where mosquitos could enter,Soap dispenser is broken.I'm okay with lack of amenities if it's a decent rest but it wasnt.

We had a really good time at Joevanna Cottage and we totally recommend this place. Especially the warm and nice welcoming of the host Eyu and his brother Herwin made us feel comfortable. Eyu helped us with the bike rental, the booking of the public ferry and showed us the best local Gado Gado place on Gili T. He even played local songs on his guitar for us. Thank you so much Eyu! You made our stay at this place special.

The site is modest, comfortable and 5-10 minutes from the liveliest area. The price is good. It's not fancy, nor does it need to be. Most importantly, in my whole trip to Indonesia, the closest, nicest and friendliest person I have ever met is Apol, the receptionist of the place. My house is your house, friend.

The room and the welcome were very good, everything was very clean. The first day at breakfast we had to look for the owner for 10 minutes to ask him, the next day there was no need and everything went very well until they gave us fruit (the first day they didn't).We rented two bikes and had a problem with the chain breaking and when I went back and told him he was not apologetic at all. I walked back for the last half hour.From the room you can hear the mosque and the people passing by on the street. I slept very poorly the two nights I stayed here.There is no hot water in the shower but it is normal in gili. The bathroom is large and clean.It has an electric kettle in the room and the AC works perfectly.

Absolutely loved our stay here with Apol. As soon as we arrived he greeted us and said ‘Welcome home Joe’.The room was great, really good size, storage, a lamp and air con worked perfectly. Bathroom was huge! Shower was hot as well which was a treat as our previous 3 accommodations only had cold showers.Breakfast was also great. Had the usual options of eggs any way and pancakes. We opted for pancakes every morning which were tasty.Apol really what is the icing on the cake and is a master on his guitar! He would sit out front and sing to passers by. Even came and sat with us on our balcony and sang our favourite songs after a day of scuba diving.The location was perfect, lots of shops and restaurants close by and only 6 mins to the beach.No idea why there are not more reviews on google for him as he really did make our stay special. If we ever return to Gili we will 100% stay back with Apol.Thank you for an amazing stay!
