If you’re looking a eco accommodation, wanna close to the nature and stay in a clean and easy life. It’s the right place to stay.The manager, Harris, is fluent in English, and super kind and helpful to guests. He is a thoughtful and considerate person.The Bungalow has no hot water and limited supply of electricity, but it won’t decrease your quality time of stay. I’m surprised that at night it’s not hot (cool enough to use blanket) and no aggressive attack from mosquitoes.The meals there are simple but delicious and nutritious （protein, vegetables, fruits every meal). If you need alcohol drinks, it’s better to prepare by yourself in advance.I had very chilled time there. Although sometimes the noise from local boat and mosque could be annoying, the place can offer you a peaceful time and get close to the nature (snorkeling and sunbathing just in front of the door) At night, it was full of star at the sky.If you want to snorkel or dive in other place outside the Kepa island, you can look for Lazy turtle dive center for more snorkeling and diving package. They will be happy to serve.

Best in Kepa. Stay here if you dive with Lazy Turtle. Big room, great view of the sea. Food is good and plentiful. Owner Haris is helpful and kind. Walk a little north to find a secluded beach with beautiful sunset views. …

I had a wonderful stay in Marangki Kepa - the rooms were large, comfortable, and clean, with a great private shower room in the back.The location is right on the water and the views day or night are stunning! You can also walk around the island at low tide and discover some amazing secret white sand beaches.Willis (the host) was so nice and accommodating, going out of his way to make sure his guests were happy and having fun! It was great to chat with him and learn about the area and life in general in Alor.The food was great too (traditional Indonesian cuisine), I looked forward to every meal while I was staying there, and a cold beer after diving. The fresh fish (dinner) of many different varieties was one of my favorites.I really enjoyed my stay here!

We had a wonderful stay with Harris at Marangki Kepa.As long as you understand what the set up of the accommodation is, I would definitely recommend staying there.The island has no running water or electricity, so Harris brings in water from Alor & runs a generator in the evening. There is also lighting that is charged by solar. I found it helpful to have a battery pack so that I could charge my phone in the daytime. As there is no electricity, it can also get hot at night as you are going to sleep. The accommodation is relatively basic, but was definitely sufficient for what we wanted.The setting is beautiful. I had a problem with my ears and so couldn’t dive, so I spent a lot of time watching the strait in-front of the property. From the water’s edge, I saw dolphins jumping and back flipping, as well as a Marlin jumping out of the water as it chased a smaller fish.You can also swim and snorkel directly from the property, and the reefs are quite incredible, particularly the coral. However, as with all of Alor, there can be very strong currents, so take care.Harris himself is a wonderful human, he always has a smile on his face and will do everything he can to make your stay comfortable.We enjoyed the food. They were able to accommodate us as vegans. We typically had the same as everyone else, but with Tofu/Tempe instead of chicken/fish.I had a really special time there and will always hold it dearly in my heart.
