A peaceful 4-night stay, with superb views and different sunsets every day. We were well received by Ali and his family. Mickael and Myriam speak French perfectly and were very kind.The rooms are spacious and comfortable (just a few small refreshments required).Half board was very good, with home cooking.The hotel is just a little out of the way, you need a car.And the only downside is the paid wifi.

Great mid-price resort with a majestic view over the stupendous beaches of southern Sumba.Owner Ali and his family are very welcoming hosts. Their bungalows include breakfast and dinner, which is great, because restaurants are scarce in this part of the island. The meals are simple but tasty. The large pool is a delight to cool off in at the end of day.French is spoken, basic English as well. The bungalows have all possible amenities and good beds. Ali takes extensive anti mosquito measures, which is a great thing given the presence of malaria here.If there’s one thing I’d have to mention they can improve on, it would be the paid WIFI. That should be a thing of the past. It’s 2024, even in Sumba. No biggie, at only 40k per day. But hey, all the more reason (if it’s that cheap) not to charge for it at all and just convert it in the room price.

Adore this place! We have stayed her numerous times and it is still as wonderful as ever. My husband and I got married here 12 years ago and returned this year on the anniversary. The wonderful Mr Ali and his lovely wife Ibu Jo and family took such great care of us. This place is romantic paradise. Miss out at your peril 💕💗

An unplanned 4-day stay in the establishment of Ali and his family which you greatly appreciated. For us, all the careful services of the hotel were perfect: the room, the outdoor space, the cuisine (varied and excellent). Very good times shared with Ali. Terima kasih Ali 🙏

Positive- Good location (2 hours south from Tambolaka airport) with beautiful jungle and sea view, peaceful quietness.- Fantastic hosts, very attentive - would clean the apartment each day and replenish the drinking water.- Delicious kitchen, diverse healthy fresh food daily - fruits, veggies, eggs.- Lots of shadowy space to hang around, outside of the apartment, and a pool (pool is in the sun), beautiful garden- Western style Apartment - very clean spacious, with separate beds, AC, water, mini fridge, nice traditional decorations- Well priced (great value for a fair price)- The closest beaches (Pantai Kerewei, Pantai Marosi) are absolute paradise - clean, gorgeous views. Some beach parts are perfect for surfing, other to collect sea shells.- Did not get sick during our stayNegative- The bathroom toilet can be renovated, but it’s perfectly usable- Not near much. The nearest beach is 15min away by motor bike. Nearest local shop is 10min by bike.- The apartment had occasionally some worms or centipedes inside, but the daily cleaning removed them and the floor was wiped with a detergent.- Have to pay everything cash (so need to fly with several million into Sumba, because there are not many ATMs on the island).

Best service we have receive in Sumba! Ali and his family are very nice and took extra care of us. The panoramic view is wonderful for sunsets. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Would totally recommend.PS: as French we can attest that the bread is good (they are making it themselves)
