The view from room 8 facing the lake is breathtaking. I recommend the canoe trip at 5:30 a.m. which is magnificent.

We stayed at Morinda Villa and Resto for three nights and it was one of our highlights while travelling around Sumba.Rooms are clean and good value for money. Amazing view, staff is super friendly and helpful (activities , trips around the area, transportation, etc) and the food was very good too.We were lucky to get some more insights about Sumbanese culture and the Ikat manufacturing from the owner which we appreciated very much! Such inspiring conversation, thanks!! :-)We'd definitely recommend staying at Morinda Villa and Resto and will come back if we are in the Waingapu area again!

The place is good, but the service is really bad!! I'm a local person, I ordered 2 portions of fried sweet potatoes but only 1 portion.. I asked the cashier for 1 fried sweet potato but it hasn't arrived because it's been a long time.. and he immediately cursed using Sumba language in front of me and his friend..That is very unethical in restaurant service... please invite me again.Before ordering, he wasn't very polite. He said write it yourself. Very impolite!!!!!

Amazing experience in Sumba. Highly recommend if you are looking for a local, nature-based experience! We stay in one of the wood cabin with amazing mountain views, have dinner in the resto that is part of the hotel and did an incredible bout tour to see the sunrise πππ½ππ½ which was the best experience!!The staff is super friendly and helpful, the cabins are comfortable, with AC and wifi.We really enjoyed our stay here and thought one night was just too short.. would come back without doubt!!

My Family and I found the best Pizza in Waingapu at this Resto. The view and atmosphere are also extraordinary.

Great location with a fantastic view over the valley and into the mountains. The sunrise hike offered was very beautiful. Very friendly staff and owner. Good and rich breakfast. Water dispenser on site.We were picked up from the airport and a transfer to Tambolaka (1.5 million IDR) and a small scooter (200,000 IDR) were organized for us on site.

The place has some charm, there are good views, it is quite at night, and bed is comfortable. The staff was very nice. Nevertheless, I am not sure if I would recommend this place if you are exploring around since you will add to your journey around 30 min each way (it takes around 25-30 min to get there from town/main road). The hilly views are more or less the same ones you can get from Bukit Wairinding or on your way to Air Terjun Tanggedu. There are better options for a cheaper price.

The location of this hotel is on the edge of the city, next to a beautiful moor. Everything is good except for the breakfast which is too big and boring.

Beautiful view from the rooms! Restaurant has nice affordable food. Activities (especially canoeing and village tour) are really great and super authentic.We had some health problems and Freddy organised us to see a special doctor at the hospital, we didnβt have to wait at all and got the treatment needed.I really recommend staying here!

This Location is clearly about the giant View...Rooms are basic but as clean as possible,Matrace is comfy,Staffcrew and Owner are friendly and attentive and the food is good and not overpriced.Will recommend to our Customers and FriendsMinuspoint is the Weak Wifi and the sometimes loud Music from the Village at the River...but one can live with thatπ

We loved our stay Here! The view is amazing and we did both of the 2 sunrise activities (Walking track and cano). The room is good, but if you want to go somewhere else make sure that you rent a car or scooter in time or they are sold out.

This villa is about 20 mins from the town. However it's worth a visit if you want to experience the beauty of Sumba landscape from your room. The room was clean and comfortable and the staffs are very friendly. They also have optional sunrise activity like canoeing and trekking up their private hills. We joined the trekking option and was so happy with what we experienced. If you visit the villa, say hi to the resident dog named Batman :)
