right so if you are wondering whether you should or shouldn't stay here - immediately book it. We've paid less than 200k/night, so we were a bit sceptical at first - why so cheap? And I am still asking myself the same question after staying. The whole building looks less than 1 year old, everything is exceptionally clean, the owners are just amazing and the breakfast is being served right in front of your room, on your own terrace table and chairs. Everything is very, very comfortable. Quiet during the night, but you can hear prayers from the temple in the evening. Good enough wifi. If it was double the price it'd still be worth every rupiah.

We choose Aries Guest House because it is a clean little apartment. This was proved to be true during our 3 day stay. Arie, the host is very friendly and helps with the organisation of transfers and trips. He booked us a snorkling trip for a very good price. He can also provide some scooters in proper condition, which is a must have on nusa penida. The location is next the main road, but still pretty quit. There are some of the best tourust restaurant nearby.In our opinion the bathroom could use a renovation (shower next to toilet, no separation and small basin), but it is still ok and clean, especially for the price. The bed and the AC in the room are in good condition.

We stayed with Arie for 5 nights, he was absolutely lovely! His Guesthouse isn’t on the ‘main street’, it’s about 10 minutes out of the town on a motorbike but it’s closer to the tourist attractions. Arie organised transport to and from the ferry for us and was always offering tea or coffee if we were hanging about during the day. The rooms were spacious and the bed was really comfy!

Structure sponsored as being in a central and welcoming position, it is indeed isolated, far from the club area with a road that cannot be reached on foot or even easily by vehicle. Obscene bathroom with fixed shower over the toilet and various mold. However, it remains passable.What should absolutely be avoided, however, is contact with the owner, who should not be trusted in any way: apparently kind and helpful (from the reviews you read I would say that the majority of tourists fall into his trap), his sole purpose is instead it is to manipulate you, pushing you to change your programs to sponsor activities from which it can make hidden profits.I repeat, it creates the appearance of helping you and if you are not smart you will fall for it, in reality it offers you activities with prices that only later you will realize are higher than the market specifically to get a percentage (for example it offered us a different driver at a cost slightly lower than the one we had chosen independently, only to then discover that the tour he had arranged was 3 hours less; still, he offered us tickets for the Gili islands at 500 k idr telling us that, since they were sold out online the tickets, he had kindly turned to a friend, but at the port we discovered that there were still tickets available to purchase in person and at a price of 350 k idr, therefore much lower).Then try not to give the money up front and you will see...I could go on and on, but I think I've gotten the idea.Be smart

B&b located in the middle of nowhere, with only a couple of decent restaurants around.The owner is incredibly kind. He appears out of nowhere every time you arrive and offers you activities, drivers, ferry tickets, making you believe that he is providing you with kindness but instead increases the prices by a minimum of 30%.We had a program and he changed it by advising us to take a driver to go snorkeling and then visit the places and then finish at sunset.He made us waste an hour of time to go and withdraw money from the only ATM on the island because he always wants the money in advance, all he does is ask for money..In the end the driver who arranged it for us wanted to take us back at 5pm with sunset starting at 6pm. After many discussions we agreed to return at 6pm, still missing the sunset.Then he sold us tickets for the gili with a 100% increase (as if we hadn't understood) just because they were no longer bookable online...A squalid character who is very attached to money.The baby is cute but the location is not good, the bathroom is very badly made with the shower throwing water over the toilet and mold on the roofs.Not only do I advise against going to this B&B but I also advise against staying on Nusa Penida, an island with some enchanting scenery surrounded by endless rubbish and with inhabitants who only think about fleecing tourists. They see you as a banknote with feet. How disgusting.If you have extra days, dedicate them to Ubud which is never too many there, or to something else.

There is a small, inconspicuous restaurant directly opposite Arie's house. Very affordable prices, good food that the European stomach tolerates well. Large portions and friendly staff with a beautiful view of the jungle.Arie herself is a kind-hearted person who takes care of you as if you were a family member. Furthermore, he helps wherever he can and fulfills every wish.
