A long-established 4-story hotel located on National Highway 12 (just before Sukhothai Historical Park) approximately 10km west of downtown Sukhothai. This is a historic hotel, where Japanese royalty such as Prince Akishino, Prince Akihito, and Princess Michiko have stayed, and it is characterized by its innovative exterior that exudes a sense of formality that stands out in Sukhothai city. Although it has been nearly 30 years since the museum opened, the inside of the building has deteriorated unavoidably, but the design of the colonial-style guest room building surrounding the pool in the courtyard, and the generous use of wood and rattan furniture from northern Thailand, have been improved. You can get a glimpse of the hotel's appearance as a luxury hotel, with the interior of the rooms reminiscent of traditional Thai houses.

The staff were very lovely. Went to stay for 4 nights, slept well, nothing scary at all. The housekeeper's room is cleaned every day. The breakfast is very delicious.

The room is clean, the housekeeping and kind staff are few but 100 percent. I slept for three or four nights and didn't sleep well at all. I slept very comfortably. Excellent service ✨

Don't be fooled by the (old) photos, The Pailyn Hotel Sukhothai is a dump. Its a scam! Only 4 staff, apparently no manager! Rooms are filthy and dangerous, ours required a good clean and was carried out by the cook who was there to provide breakfast. Water from tap, just a trickle, bathroom filthy. Insects in evidence. The Hotel is dilapidated and in need of condemning. It made the visit to Sukhothai for the festival of Loi Kratong, which itself was fabulous, very disappointing. The Thai Tourist authority should really examine this building, calling itself a 'hotel'. My recommendation? Do not stay at this place, despite the new super low price. And check the dates of any reviews.

The location of hotel is good as it's quite close to the historical park. Apart from the pool, there are no other amenities. Breakfasts are well provided although the hotel rooms n furniture are rather old n worn out.

On the road to Sukothai Park in no man's land. No tuk tuk or motorbike taxi near the hotel. Taxi must be ordered in the lobby. Difficult because no English is spoken. Huge complex, renovation needed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The location is very good, not far from the ancient city, only 10 minutes' drive away! The hotel must have been open for a long time and the facilities are old, but the price is very good and the service staff is very good! The price is right!

4 km from historical park. Basic hotel with friendly staff. You can get tuk tuk from historical park to get you drop there!

Firstly this hotel is quite near to the historical park which is almost what everyone would visit sukothai for. Secondly, it's price point is great and breakfast is surprisingly better than most. Thirdly just looking at the path leading up to the hotel entrance, the way the building is designed, the spacious lobby all tell this hotel is the jewel at its era. Now the bad, this hotel won't be getting a renovation since it's pointless to put in money as everything is still working. It has gone from a 5* hotel in the 1990s? To a 3* hotel in this era. Things in the room especially the restroom is a bit old but clean nonetheless. There is limited staff and activity during off season and they won't be cleaning every room periodically. Just ask for a fresh up if the room is unsatisfying and they will touch it up.

I went to organize a seminar. The room is quite spacious, the air conditioning is cool, but the place is quite old and should have closed down a long time ago. This one should probably just be rented out for seminars because there are no people in the accommodation. The parking lot next to it is wide and there should be only service people. There were few people because it seemed like the hotel had closed. The bathroom was old and the atmosphere was very gloomy.
