a small homestay accomodation with good sized rooms. No breakfast but there are so many places to eat at a good price. A small pool for a refreshing dip. Reasonably quiet you don’t hear much street noise. We had a room with a small kitchen and our friends. Hot showers. The staff are friendly. We have stayed here several times because it is close to the beach, shopping and good restaurants and not over priced. Highly recommend to stay here especially if you’re on a budget.

In my many years writing reviews I have left only 1 other negative review. I believe in talking to businesses directly to explain how they can improve rather than publicly share negativity.My experience at Pondok Nartia, however, needs to be shared to win other Bali-based travellers.I had made a booking for 3 nights, asked if my tiny pomeranian dog could stay, this was confirmed. I rode 1 hour on a scooter from Canggu laden with bags and when I checked in was told the owner of the property said no dogs.I was left hot, carrying bags and with nowhere to stay.The 20 room property was empty aside from one room and it is no surprise why.It did look very nice and my intention was to support a small local business but being turned away after confirming my small dog could stay after arriving was unacceptable.I allocate the additional star here for the recommendation from one of the girls to stay at the Taman Agung Hotel nearby which is absolutely BRILLIANT with exceptional staff, beautiful gardens and this is reflected in their current 90% occupancy.It seems local businesses need to re-think how they manage their businesses and communication as the culture of travel changes with increased pets travelling.An empty 20 room guest house could be a little more flexible to increase their occupancy rather than turn away confirmed bookings. Offering the opportunity to have a ‘pet deposit’ in case of any damage would be ideal. Particularly for very small pets.Extremely disappointing but very happy with the Taman Agung Hotel nearby.

This is a lovely home stay with a great location close to the main business centers and the beach. It is larger than it appears, and pretty quiet, with a nice pool. Our room is decent size with a good balcony and air conditioning, but the shower is a little sketchy.

No kettle even tho that is what we were promised !No soap ! No plug. No hot water.Shower broken. No bath mat.Toilet flush broken.No tea. No coffee. No water .Towels smelt musty and not clean.Door locks very very stiff and not working properly.Dogs barking at 3-4 am everyday.No towels for pool. No outside loo.No security ..the complex is open to anyone.
