4 nights in hell!!everything seemed to start well, we were superbly welcomed, the lady at reception even indulged our little whim of wanting to rent a particular scooter, the first 5 minutes made us believe that everything would go well for our stay until until we arrive in our “pool view” room.given that the room did not correspond to the photos or what we booked, we went straight back down thinking that they had made a mistake, we started the discussion to try to resolve the problem with another lady much less friendly than the first, after explanation she makes us call a number and we come across another lady to whom we explain the problem and after a blank in the call we now hear a man who I suppose is the one responsible, we explain for the umpteenth time the problem and the man tells us to be silent and let him speak to finally tell us; if you are not happy you cancel the reservation on booking. knowing that this is not refundable and that we needed accommodation for the rest of our vacation we could not afford to do this and still lose money in addition to being disappointed, this man knew it and took advantage of it, pitiful, no effort on his part and blatant rudeness.instead of the "swimming pool view" we were treated to a view of the work, being woken up every morning at dawn by a machine to make cement or cranes, the room was not soundproofed, no privacy and nothing to cover the light of the lamps lit all night, no mini bar but a fridge for several rooms from which food and drinks were stolen, no towels for the famous swimming pool which was finally accessible to everyone like a municipal swimming pool (the swimming pool was dirty and poorly maintained) some of the staff stared at us every time we crossed their path.we had the misfortune of wanting to keep it simple for an evening and go eat in their restaurant, we ordered a pizza (which was frozen) as well as ribs (or rather bones because we barely had time to say bon appetit that my companion had finished her plate) only to end up both falling ill with indigestion at night. Given the situation we even wondered if they had spit in the food or something else.This “room” was only used for sleeping, we tried to spend as little time there as possible because this charade was so embarrassing.to avoid as an establishment, nothing matches the photos, do not spend your money there, other establishments in Ubud are much more deserving.

Amazing staying at Gusde’s great food great people :)

Really lovely food, great service, varied choice and excellent value…. Lovely restaurant which seemed to be family owned, authentic and traditional decoration…. The tuna and snapper was good, lots of flavour and fresh, very enjoyable meal for 4!

Maybe once many years ago this place was like this. First of all: there are no rice fields but only a lot of very tall, unkempt grass and neglected jungle everywhere, the view from the rooms is that of two shacks …

Very beautiful place and view. Staff very friendly, Gus Yuda was very nica and showed me my room with rice terrace. Perfect Ubud escape! Will surely return and recommend staying here to friends and family. If you are looking for a place nearby the center and a nice road I recommend it.
