This place is for backpackers. It is extremely basic. Your driver will bring you to the parking lot and you have to carry your luggage on a long, small and slippery path to your cabin. The cabin has no toilet inside and just a few mattresses on the floor. However they offer a small fan to beat the heat. There was only one staff,luckily she was friendly but I would not advise to stay here.

My girlfriend and I stayed at tangkahan for a few days. We arrived late by medan's bus (3pm to 6pm) and booked last minute, the team was very understanding.The location is just down from the bus's last stop. And it's right next to the river stream. The location is simply gorgeous, hearing/seeing the jungle from the treehouse, is very soothing.Bed accomodation are fine, but small, as everything in Indonesia. Shower and toilet clean. We didn't have any mosquitoes during our stay, but the room is well equiped. Food is very simple, except the morning pancake which are great.Sadly the team doesn't speak english, but google translate helped us.We met the jungle guide, Nanta, during our dinner, where we decided to go for a 2 day trek in the jungle.He's a park ranger, that is very knowledgeable, and it seems we were lucky to see the orangutan at the end of the day.The overnight camping was all taken care of, so it's very accessible to any kind of hiker. And the spot awesome, but be aware that this is not comfortable.Sadly we didn't find the orangutan on the second day, but we tried. We spent more time enjoying the jungle features and discover other animals.Overall, i strongly recommand this location, and the adventure with Nanta. I would gladly do it again, but maybe for a longer time in the jungle. Maybe with a hammock for better nights.

Very basic establishment, no frills, enjoyed my stay, very different area, plenty of nature activities, the two young ladies that host the homestay and act as your guides were the best, thanks 😊 👍.

Sorry it doesn't match the ad.🙏1. Smelly room & bathroomRoom capacity 6 people. But only 3 mattresses were given. Not to mention that the mattress is not comfortable to sleep on at all.2. Not clean3. The stairs don't have a handrail and are very slippery (I think this is very important. Not everyone goes there alone and it's all young people. There are those who go there with their families + children)4. The "greenhouse" balcony also doesn't have a barrier. Mistake: The children fell down.Duhhh I'm tired of booking this GH😭Booking for a 2 night stay. But just stay for 1 night. In my opinion, it is not recommended for parents and active children

Comfortable guest house. The location is not far from the bus stop. The public transportation from Medan-Tangkahan will pick you up at our accommodation. Oh, this guesthouse was built around 2020 so it's quite new. The design of the guesthouse is also better compared to most guesthouses around. The price is also quite good. The best thing that this inn offers is the location of the room or guesthouse which has a direct river view so it's great to sleep accompanied by the sound of animals and the flow of the river. Sis Bua and Sis Ari also provide good service

Bua Guest House could be an alternative choice from several Homestays available if you want to go on holiday to Tangkahan. With not too many units, Bua offers a private atmosphere that is comfortable and instagrammable of course. No need to think about food if you want to stay here. With good hospitality, staying at Bua really makes us feel like home... Don't forget to make a reservation before visiting Bua...

the atmosphere is very beautiful. Beside it there is a river which is not too deep. You can relax there. The facilities are good, there is a kitchen which is also rented for 50k per day. For the tree house, 250k per night for 2 people and free breakfast for 1 person. If you add an extra bed there is an additional 75k. There is also a greenhouse for a family, the price is 45k for 6 people, but it is very useful. 😂
