Villa Batu Tangga

The villa, the view, the wonderful food and people close by. All completely magical. So relaxing and such a wonderful place to stay.

We had the most amazing week at Batu Tangga. It is a beautiful villa in a superb and idyllic location. |Sari was incredible and the food she prepared totally delicious. She helped organise so much for us during our stay there. |We would love to return again!

I just stayed here recently with friends and absolutely loved it. The villa is huge and has the most beautiful views.Location: Perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday. We stayed for a week and had a day tour to Ubud, a local Balinese cooking class with lunch, massages, snorkelling & sunset cruise (there's a lovely underwater temple and so many fish and sea turtles. The sea water is so warm as well even at sunset it was like bath water). There's a supermarket a short drive away which has an ATM if needed, only a couple of minutes and Sari can arrange transport. There's also a lovely Italian restaurant a few doors down which we ate in one night and got a takeaway from another night. Plenty of choice and tastes lovely.Villa: the villa was kept spotless and cleaned daily. Sari prepared us breakfast every morning at a time that suited us. Her pancakes were amazing! There was 3 double bedrooms, one upstairs and 2 downstairs. The two downstairs bedrooms were huge and had a double bed and 2 single beds. All 3 rooms had enough suit shower rooms and storage for clothes. The Aircon is nice and strong (absolutely needed as it is soooo hot even at night). Plenty of towels provided both for the shower and pool. Large dining area & living area with panoramic views. Steps down to garden and pool area with nice big pool which was also very warm. There's also steps down to the sea but the sea was a bit rough most days so we preferred to access it via the beach at aquamarine just a 4 minute walk down the hill where the spa is.Sari: Sari kept the drinks fridge stocked whilst we was there so didn't have to go out to get anything. She also provided lunches and dinners when we required it. I highly recommend the seafood dinner which consisted of local fish, prawns and calamari. She was so friendly and happy to help with anything we needed and really made the experience. She also offers laundry service for a small fee.I found everyone we came into contact with throughout this trip was so friendly and helpful and I'd definitely stay here again. We didn't want to leave!

Very tired villa, stayed for three nights (6 people), the pool is not cleaned, the area is not cleared of fallen leaves, the water in the shower on the top floor doesn’t flow well, the tap in the sink on the bottom floor in the room is broken, there is no shower by the pool, WiFi is not just terrible, but it’s simply not there, the towels are not fresh, the service is terrible, although we didn’t ask for cleaning, we had to ask for drinking water, we had to ask for the garbage from the kitchen to be taken out, when we came in for another request to do something, they checked very suspiciously whether everything was intact and everything whether in place. The imprint from the holiday in this villa was both positive and negative. The nearest normal store is 2 km away, the sandy beach is 3-5 minutes by car (it’s awesome).Pros: very quiet, calm, turtles constantly appear near the shore, amazing sunrises. There is no descent to the shore, it is rocky and the waves crash against the rocks. 3 minus out of 5
