The Angkal Resort Nusa Penida Bali

Staff is courteous and the view from the reataurant and the room itself is amazing. Would visit again.

The resort is at a very beautiful location, the staff is very nice and approachable. I would highly recommend to try the restaurant point plus and lido which is located in the resort, with an incredible overview of the ocean. Would like to say a massive thank you to Dita who has made every meal special and her personality made us wanting to come back and we always left with a smile. Highly recommend.

The restaurant and pool are nice. Unfortunately some of the furtinure was really sticky.We found a total of 4 cockroaches in our room. There was also some kind of animal in our room that felt the need to poo on our bed.On the positive side with got a free late check out. Which was very nice as we could enjoy the pool longer.

Arriving at this hotel after 2 days in Ubud, we were disappointed with the location of the Angkal Resort. Indeed, if you cannot ride a scooter, nothing is accessible, except by taxi which are much more expensive in this Island than in other places than Bali. The rooms were OK but the staff were unfriendly, quite intrusive and very money-oriented. This bothered us a little. To summarize, I don't necessarily recommend this hotel if you really want to visit the island because its location leaves something to be desired.

The hotel has been incredible, the views, the room, the pool, the restaurant, it is a paradise.I left my documentation at the hotel and they were so kind that they sent it to me to Bali from Nusa Penida, I want to thank Aris who spoke to me and helped me at all times.A 10 for the hotel and the staff

Having spent a few days with my family at this hotel, I noticed positive points as well as very negative ones:The view of the ocean is very beautiful, the swimming pool is well maintained, very good and varied breakfasts and the driver who took us to the port was very kind.However, there are many negative points:First of all, the location is far from everything and it is therefore necessary to rent a scooter, the swimming pool certainly overlooks the ocean but also overlooks an extremely noisy road so it is impossible to sleep peacefully. Even more difficult to sleep given that the hotel staff has an annoying tendency to wake up guests very early for unnecessary reasons such as breakfast or for bottles of water and on top of that play music extremely loud at 6 a.m. and speak very loudly. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms are deplorable: window that holds with a ridiculous piece of wood, towels never changed or forgotten, floor never washed, dust everywhere, shower gel leaking and so on...Not to mention the fact that the hotel is constantly in the wind, which is very unpleasant in the long term, especially when we have breakfast.In summary, I would not recommend this hotel.

We have just spent 4 days at the Angkal resort and what a disappointment we had!! We had been waiting to stay since the beginning of our vacation thinking of going to a hotel with a splendid view by the ocean but when we discovered that the location of the hotel was far from everything with a busy road right in front of us. below the infinity pool and it was very noisy we were extremely disappointed given the price and the stars this hotel contains, what a bad surprise we had there! In addition, the rooms are not well cleaned since in 4 minutes flat it is complicated to clean an entire room and a bathroom. The staff is very intrusive and took the liberty of knocking on our room at 8 a.m. to give us 2 small bottles of water, which could wait until later or at worst could be left at the foot of our door. When we left the hotel to go sightseeing or something else they kept asking us where we were going and when we were going to get back to the hotel. We found it quite strange. I saw a lady from the staff wake up a customer who was resting on a deckchair to find out if he had lunch, I think they don't understand that we are on vacation and that we are making sacrifices to afford them so we We need to be peaceful and able to rest as we please. Concerning the restaurant, we ate only once at the hotel restaurant and the prices were more than double that of anything else we saw in Bali, including drinks. We preferred to eat at the restaurant just below the hotel 200 meters away because the prices were quite reasonable and the view is magnificent and especially without that infernal wind that is constantly present at the Angkal resort restaurant. The only positive point is the breakfasts which are varied and well prepared. In short, you can easily find better and cheaper on Nusa Penida because this hotel is absolutely not worth these 3 stars.

Nice relaxed spot on Penida. Very friendly staff. Glutenfree options! Close to temple and nice restaurants. Good massage and spa.

Beautiful bungalow with a nice view, near the road.But :- The location is not ideal (far from the spots to see & the port).- Bad smells in the shower.- Hot water without pressure.- Ginger cocktail without ginger taste...- The noodles are instant...- The staff is very unpleasant: they constantly spy on you even though the room has large bay windows (no privacy).- They removed and then forgot to renew the small hair towels (they could have just left them for us without removing them).- One day, there was a call from reception very early in the morning which woke us up to go on an organized tour: wrong number..!- At 9 a.m., the cleaning staff stand in front of the bay window to ask us to clean when they notice that we are in our bed (no privacy)...- Several members of the staff came to disturb us, in order to collect the money for our cocktail taken the day before when they could have added it to the final bill to be paid at the end of the stay!- We asked reception for a driver to go around the island with a few specific spots and sunset (11 a.m.-7 p.m.), the staff did not know how to organize it: they wanted us to take a tour standard, but not adapted to our request. I finally managed to organize it myself via the internet (whatsapp) in barely 1 hour: this shows how dishonest the staff are.- Customers watch videos loudly (without headphones) in front of your bungalow at night, and the staff does not intervene.Rest assured that we can compare, because we have had other great experiences in Bali (hotel and staff).I give one star for the swimming pool, the view and the bungalow.In summary: Flee this hotel! I particularly advise against couples because of the lack of privacy and the behavior of the staff. You can find so much better in Bali.
