I’ve stayed in many hostels during my travels, but this one in Ubud really stands out. The atmosphere is super relaxed, the staff are incredibly friendly and always helpful. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the common areas are perfect for chilling and meeting other travelers. They also provide great tips for activities in the area. The location is perfect – peaceful, yet close to the center of Ubud.A real hidden gem for backpackers and travelers looking for an authentic yet comfortable place to stay. I would definitely come back!"

Fantastic bungalows snuggled in the midst of rice fields. Quiet and secluded, you will be able to rest to the sounds of the nearby jungle.
Owners are lovely and forthcoming, staff friendly and helpful.
We stayed for 2 weeks and loved every moment.

Awesome jungle vibes, if you like the sounds of nature while you sleep, this is the place for you. Rumah Semanggi is located in the rice fields, yet, there are more than enough amazing restaurants nearby (you won't use the kitchen, trust me - also it's not really well equipped).There is a nice deep pool, great wifi (50/50 mbps), and scooter rental for those who don't want to walk 7 minutes to the taxi (the place is not accessible by car).The only danger is the mold, it is recommended to leave the window open during the day, and just leave your empty suitcase open just in case.We really enjoyed our time here, we got some upgrades to our bungalow during our long term stay, really appreciated 👍

Very nice and very quiet place with lots of greenery on a small and picturesque river. I didn't live here, I was just visiting.There are 3 hotel rooms and 5 apartment-style rooms with kitchens on offer.Many thanks to Sama and Roberto for the exciting tour.

We spent exactly one month at Rumah Semanggi and I will never forget this place ☺️I loved the birds singing early morning, drinking coffee in the kitchen with the peaceful and, at the same time, wild jungle around the house 🌴🍃🐿️ It made me feel like in a retreat! And of course can’t forget to mention Baba, the sweet white rabbit waiting for us every day to enjoy his fruit peels. Such a nice memories!So is the thing. Sometimes you book a place to stay for holidays and sometimes you find a home 🥹 So is the feeling sharing this beautiful place with Summa and Roberto, helping and smiling at any kind of situation, making us feel at home.Thank you guys, hopefully see you soon again! ❤️

Great place to stay in Ubud, it's very quiet in the middle of the rice fields, super cute and the hosts are awesome. Go there for a coffee if you don't sleep there, they are excellent and the place is superb.

The best. A hidden gem, beautiful hosts- so lovely. One Aussie / one Balinese. Very helpful and up for a chat/ recommendation. Good location, some guy had a pet otter near by- don’t know why. Beautiful views, close to Insta spots for the discernible socialite. Not my cup of tea but I can see influencers diggin it. Would go again

Perfect house (Rumah una) with 100% privacy in the middle of the bush. The owner also rents scooters. Quiet location. A few km from the center and that is too far to walk, so the scooter is very nice. Long-term rental also available.

A magical place in the jungle and yet close to everything. It’s a 25-minute walk to the central streets, 10 on the gojack, for 10 rupees 🙈🙈 The houses are separate, we don’t see each other, they are different in comfort and size. Mine has a separate bedroom, an outdoor kitchen and a gazebo. There is little sun here, which is what I wanted. High humidity, things are saved by gel packs (sold in Betang). I personally like absolutely everything: friendly hosts (Australian and Indonesian, wonderful!), quiet, green, the sound of the jungle is incomparable. Great pool, fast wi-fi. Cleaning 2 times a week, very high quality. Goujacks come here with you or food delivery without any problems. The car can drive to the parking lot ~400 m from the hotel. We sleep with the doors open, no one flies in or crawls in

Very nice place. Soul of the Jungle! Birds, squirrels, fish and rabbits - very cute. :)Large swimming pool, table tennis.Worst internet. TV to which you can connect a laptop. Friendly people, thoughtful interior design and cleaning 2 times a week.There are jogging paths nearby with beautiful views.The only downsides are moisture in the rain and termites.

Rumah Semanggi is like an Oasis in middle of jungle, so much tranquility... wait ...only nature sounds! But thats BALI!I loved it and stayed there for a whole month.The owners Summa and Roberto are helpful and welcoming beyond compair and always available for any kind of help!I stayed many years now in Ubud but since i know Rumah Semanggi it became my favourite second home away from home now!There is a fresh pool in the middle of the facility for all. Surrounded by Paddy fields and the sounds of nature... a Jewel!
