I really wanted to love this hotel but sadly this was my least favourite place I stayed at - out of 6 hotels in 3 weeks in Bali.First I was put in a room towards the back of the property - close to the pool area. When I walked in, all I could smell was really bad damp. I immediately opened all the windows & after many hours, the smell had receded a bit.The room itself was okay, nothing spectacular but I wasn't expecting spectacular for the price. However my main issue was that I was all alone at the back. The layout of the hotel is that there are several buildings with 4 rooms, 2 at the bottom, 2 at the top. In my section, I was the only person and I just felt really isolated and quite honestly, a bit scared. There is no reception area so I had to whatsapp the staff and she told me there was a room in another part of the hotel that I could take, if I wanted. So I moved. This room was more towards the front of the hotel, didn't smell bad and was in a good condition. There was a couple in the room below me. And some more people checked in at 12 am - making a huge ruckus, might I add. But then I felt a lot more comfortable having people around me. However they all checked out the next day. So, for 2 of my 3 days, I was the only guest at the hotel. I honestly did not enjoy it. Everything just really felt completely dead. Even the pool area was dull, with 2 loungers that have seen better days. However the pool was clean and pleasantly cold. But the complete lack of atmostphere made me glad to leave eventually. The highlight was the location of the hotel, with many restaurants and spas close by. And lots of little lanes to walk down and explore the area. Also, one of the staff members - Jiwa - was lovely and really went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. The rooms were clean and the gardens are lovely.I can't say if the hotel would be more enjoyable if there were more people staying there. I, for one, would not return.

We spent a week here and it has been wonderful. Rumah Ganesha Ubud is tucked off the main road and has lots of garden and trees, as well as a shaded pool. It's so peaceful and relaxing. The three restaurants (11:11, Bubu Warung and Prima Vegetarian) next door are all excellent, and it's easy to walk up the back streets to Yellow Flower Cafe and other cafes and restaurants up the hill. Highly recommended if you want to be a bit out of the hustle and bustle.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. The garden and outside area will charm you, then right after it will be the warm welcome and amazing and helpful staff, always making sure you feel great. The villas are beautiful and peaceful and let’s not forget the fact you will be staying in the best part of Ubud - the most beautiful and serene, but extremely close to all the action. Definitely recommending this stay to all of my friends and family and I myself will only come back here when coming back to Ubud.

Got robbed here on cash and bank cards. Staff pretended nothing happened, like it was my fault. Police couldn’t do anything cause there is no CCTV (on their words). Be careful 🙏

The room was sufficient for the purpose, but very damp. Clothes that were hung up never got dry. Towels were only changed upon request. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
