Very dirty place, unsanitary, unwelcoming staff, scam on the prices of outings! To flee

TO RUN AWAY!!!If you don't want to ruin your vacation, don't go to Black Marlin, this place is just a disaster.The only positive point and I prefer to say it from the start: the food was good, that's all.A catastrophic welcome, bordering on being surprised to see people arriving, no prior information on whatsapp concerning the difficulty of access by boat, for the price we pay no boat service offered, we are still talking about 350,000 per person PER DAY even if food is included it is overpriced.Normally I NEVER complain about cleanliness but once again, when you take the name of a resort, this disgusting is unacceptable, especially the bathroom. Regarding communication: none. They don’t know how to speak, communicate meal times, communicate the prices of what we do, etc. The diving was just CATASTROPHIC, the plan for our day was diving in the morning and kayaking in the afternoon, supposed to leave at 8 a.m. we left at 10:30 a.m., no information, no excuses on this fact. We come back from diving at 3 p.m., time to eat we take the kayaks at almost 4 p.m.: they charged us 100K, or the entire rental for a day for 1h30 of kayaking, the same for the rental of snorkeling equipment, 30K just for fins just for an hour. Not even a commercial gesture, NOTHING. We leave for an excursion to the jellyfish lake (20 minutes by boat), no information on the price, announced 200K per person at the end. Thieves. Same for diving, announced 600K per dive but ultimately you have to divide 1,000,000 for diesel by the number we are except that on the final bill I realized that in the end they took 300K from me instead of 200K, still theft? A SHAME to the end. We were supposed to stay a week in Togean, we are disgusted with the place and tired. It was all just a huge joke. When we left, the people from the hotel left for a day of sightseeing and snorkeling, they returned 30 minutes later because the staff had forgotten the snorkeling equipment. I thought I was arriving at a resort and not a comedy sketch.Another point: no clarification on the fact that there is no ATM, it's your island guys, we're not supposed to know that, the same no beers for sale because there are no more, in peak season? No cigarettes, nothing. We had to go to the neighbors: in paradise and in fact we advise you to book there instead.A bill at 4,150,000 for only 3 days, even charging us the boat to go back to Wakai in 20 minutes for 150K when he was supposed to go there, I have the feeling that I was robbed and that I lost a lot of money and a lot of energyWorking in the luxury hotel industry, I find that this job is not for you and that it is high time to change, someone else could perhaps renovate your premises.

This place had a very nice atmosphere. The people who work there were very nice and delicious meals were served to us every day. Because you eat together with other travelers, you also get to know them. The rooms were fine, you could tell they were renovating.

I do not recommend this resort at all as there is one right next door with better facilities and services. They told us that the price of the boat to get to and from the resort was included in the price and, just before getting on the boat, they asked us for 150,000 rp per person to take us to Wakai. Without being able to negotiate that price, one of the resort workers boarded the boat and left us on land without being able to do anything. Finally we had to hire a boat at the nearest resort to take us to the port where we had already reserved the speedboat to get to Amapana.In addition to this horrible experience, the rooms were a mess, dirty and very damp.The snorkel material is in very poor condition.

Highly not recommended. The rooms are extremely run down. They told us by WhatsApp that they would accommodate us in the deluxe rooms and when we arrived they gave us rooms that seemed abandoned. First of all, full of moisture and dirty. The bed with animal excrement and the bathroom with the broken roof through which the rain came in. The entire room full of cobwebs as if they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The food is good but there is no fruit, the only thing they give you is a small banana in the morning. The price is extremely high for the service and conditions. For that same money you can go to other resorts that are in much better condition and have friendlier and more committed staff.

A very disappointing experience. The condition and cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired. They have some reconditioned, and others in a terrible condition. We were assigned the "deluxe" room, and it was dirty, with moisture in all the corners, and with a disastrous bathroom (the shower was clogged). The service in general is poor and the food is average, except for breakfast which is really scarce.Despite being one of the cheapest resorts, it is not worth it at all.Regarding diving, we did not try it as other clients told us that it was not the best equipment.The location is good (there's no way it wouldn't be on the islands), but again, not the best around.

The resort is good, around the resort you can swim, fish, snorkel, take sunset photos, play on the swings, the most special thing is that the food served is very delicious

We spent 4 days at this excellent resort. Very quiet, a pleasant beach, nice boss. …

We were guests of the neighboring accommodation and spent a few evenings at the Black Marlin and booked a snorkeling tour. The team is super friendly and warm. The tour was also well organized and equipped with very good equipment. You can also buy wifi for a fair price, a rarity on the island ;)

It's true that a renovation would be necessary, particularly for the bathrooms... But I find that the bungalows are very comfortable and solid (good construction, there must have been quite an initial investment) and well placed all with sea views.The team is very friendly and welcoming. The quality/price ratio is unbeatable.
