I only stayed one night at the Black Marlin but I must say that, despite the many negative reviews, I had a good time. Brick bungalow, the bathroom needs renovation. As for the sea, it should certainly be kept cleaner given that there is so much plastic. Good food served and convenience close to the port of Wakai.

An incredible place to live a disconnection experience, the bathrooms in the rooms could use a remodel but the bed and the rest are pretty good, ICE is an incredible guy!! It just happened to be my birthday on those dates and he took it upon himself to go get fruit from his boat, make an incredible dinner, a bonfire, cocktails, it really was incredible!Always very attentive, he undoubtedly makes you live another experience in the place, the last night he organized a bonfire and cooked some incredible fish and lobsters! I would definitely return a thousand times, the lady who prepares the food was also very friendly and cooked very well!

The structure is very old and not maintained at all. Dirty rooms. The owner is excellent at teaching diving but unable to hold any conversation. It's clear that he doesn't care about the guests. We were the only two for 5 days and he never spent a minute to tell or explain anything about the island or Indonesia.Furthermore, I had booked with booking and on the fourth day he canceled the reservation telling booking that we had not shown up.Obviously this is to save on the booking commission. When we left he didn't even say goodbye. His faithful collaborator Ais, who is wonderful, saves him.Apart from this the resort and the sea are full of plastic. They continually burn piles of rubbish creating stench and smoke in the room. The nearby resorts seem much better.Avoid black marlin

This is a review only about the Dive Shop: The owner is NOT welcoming, the equipment is NOT in good condition and the air was tasting bad. During the dive the instructor just swam in the front, but did not care to show me anything. I do not recommend diving with this dive shop.

A big disappointment. Probably the place was really nice in the early 2000s but now is completely abandoned and very poorly maintained. There are tons of plastics in the area that can be easily cleaned and everything seems old and broken. When we arrived there was no one to receive us. The room was okay but the bathroom was an absolute nightmare. It was very dirty when we arrived, and it was obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned properly for a long time (you can see the pictures and judge for yourself). After telling them to clean the bathroom again (although they claimed it was clean) somehow they managed to break the sink and make a complete mess. We were supposed to stay here 3 nights but we only stayed 2, and just because we had already paid those. It’s a shame because it could be a very nice place.

The pros are the local guys running the place, they are very nice people. Also the reef right in front of it is not as colourful as others but I have seen so many fishes, it was impressive. The cons:-the room was in very poor condition, really decaying. And most importantly, no one cleaned it before we entered..! There was stuff on the floor and bed all over, hairs in the toilet ..pretty disgusting-as opposed to all other resorts I have seen in the Togean, there is no nice beach in front of it, they preferred to throw cement (such a pity)-food is ok, averageAll in all, the resorts nearby are all much better than this one, and if you are into diving you can just stay somewhere else and come here just for a dive and go.

The bungalows are not maintained...they deserve a serious overhaul...it is very humid and the showers work very poorly despite complaints they have done nothing to improve. The site and location are good for snorkeling.Positive point the food is good and plenty of fresh fish every day.I wouldn't have gone diving with the unfriendly owner who abuses the boats for wakai.
