Our stay at the homestay was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is beautiful and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The food was plentiful and tasted ok but was often served cold. Unfortunately, no one asked if there were any dietary restrictions or what we would like to eat.Unfortunately, there were also several negative aspects that affected our stay. The toilets, huts and bedding were not clean, and the roof of our hut was leaking. The service left much to be desired – there was hardly any communication with the family. They didn’t provide any information about the toilets, meal times, or other important details. Communication was very difficult as the family made no effort to engage with us.We had to ask other guests about how things worked on-site. Additionally, the Wi-Fi didn’t work during our entire stay, and the host showed no interest in fixing it. The water kept cutting out, and the toilet paper was empty for 3 days – without our own supply, we would have had a problem. If you look at the photos on the website, it seems that the family running the accommodation has probably changed… might be the reason why we didn‘t enjoy the stay.

We stayed 5 nights in this homestay and to be honest I would not recommend it (or at least not for such a long stay). The transport from Waisai to the homestay worked well but arriving there nobody really explained us how everything workes (meal schedules, toilet..). The family doesn't speak English so we tried to communicate with a translation app. Unfortunately the phone reception was not good and the WiFi broken so it was very complicated. The rooms were basic but ok. Just the bed was smelly and the sheets and towels not clean. The toilet was dirty and there was no toilet paper for three days (the family did not really care about it). Also the water didn't work all the time which was very unpleasent because you couldn't shower or wash your hands (only in the ocean). Also all the water is salty. The worst is, that all the sewage goes straight into the ocean (no filter) which is really bad for the eco system and the corals. And also disgusting because the toilet was right behind our bungalow where we went swimming as well. The meals were plenty but almost every day it was kind of the same. They ran out of fruits after two days so there was no option to get a snack. Also the lunch boxes were compared to the ones people from other homestays had a bit poor. Especially the glasses, cups and the cuttlery provided were dirty so we had to clean them before feeling comfortable to use them.If you compare the prices Yenbainus is not worth the money! You will get way better accomodations for the same price.

We stayed here two nights. The home stay is beautifully decorated with sea shells everywhere. The room is spacious with mosquito net provided and comfortable mattress on the floor. In our case, our deck had a wood sun bed, a sofa and chairs. We had our own stairs to the ocean, which was amazing. The toilets were decent. The family is super friendly and helpful when it comes to arranging tours. The food was delicious and super generous portions. The whole home stay gave me vibes of antique hoarder shop, which I loved, in contrast with the new looking restaurant, which is very pleasant too. The only suggestion I would make, is to replace the mosquito net since there’s several holes on it.Really loved this home stay.

Brilliant location to explore raja ampat from, or just to relax in your over water cabin.Captivating views of the ocean and nearby islands, beautiful house reef and frequent visits by dolphins and manta rays. The facilities are basic but the owners are improving every time I come back. Don't expect luxury but I'd be surprised if you don't end up loving this spot. Food is yum too!
