There were 4 of us (2 couples) in this beautiful homestay at the beginning of December 2023, where you can stay in beautiful bungalows right on this lonely beach and enjoy the peace and quiet. We also booked the dugong and snorkeling tour at Sandy Bank, which are also recommended.

Magical, what more can I say, room with individual bathroom on the beach, corals right in front of the beach, the family is always available for all your requests for excursions, for fishing, meals included and really very good.A place of calm and rest, toucans, parrots and birds of all kinds pass right by 😍A big thank you to Ricky and his family

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this lovely, authentic Papuan homestay. The family went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The food provided was delicious and ample and gave us a great taste of local Papuan food. A great place to stay for an authentic and peaceful Papuan experience. The huts are simple and comfortable and are right on the beach – a very beautiful setting where the beach by the jungle meets the most beautiful reef. The family was very accommodating and took us on daily excursions as per our request – to nice reefs for snorkelling and to the beautiful batanta waterfall. The home reef is also spectacular with abundance of diverse reef fish and beautiful coral reef.We also did some spectacular bird watching and and managed to spot some hornbills and beautiful pitta birds.We will surely stay here again for our next stay to raja ampat.

We were a group of seven persons who were lucky to be the first guests and stay in Biryei (from 8 to 12 February 2023) once they reopened after the lockdown.Out of all the homestays we have stayed on different islands of Raja Ampat, this was, for sure, the best homestay in all regards.Our biggest gratitude is for the owners and staff of this homestay. Thanks for the delicious food, for your warm approach and comfortable family-like presence during our stay. We could not even expect our houses would be cleaned each time we were away on a longer or shorter trip (the cleanliness in this homestay was, in general, outstanding). There are 3 small houses for accommodation and a nice shared dining area.The homestay has a reliable speedboat and picked us from Waisai. We also used their speedboat to get to West Waigeo. To make this long ride easier, they combined it with a stopover at Pianemo and lunch on a desolate island. Thanks to Ricky for steering the boat so reliably on these long transfers and also for his enthusiasm to show us dugongs on several occasions.The homestay has a rich house reef with beautiful corals and abundance of fish (including stingrays, occasional sharks and turtles). The house reef can be explored for at least several days. Make sure you take a day trip to the manta point and, in general, follow the advice of the Biryei staff to get the most of this stay.Surprisingly, there were no mosquitos at all during our stay there (none also in other homestays on other islands).A stay at Biryei Homestay is highly recommended for anyone planning to see Batanta.

Price-service ratio the same as other homestays.The special thing about the place is the excellent snorkeling that can be done. Very pretty. No currents.Very quiet with very little noise.
