We celebrated our honeymoon at Katembe Private Island, and it was truly unforgettable! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, providing us with exceptional attention throughout our stay. The location is breathtaking, and we went on several well-planned trips. The food was delicious, and we were surprised twice by Ridwan, the manager. Once with a stunning private dinner and another time with a private coffee and cake setup on a cliff — both moments were absolutely magical. A huge thank you to Ridwan, and also to our amazing tour guides Kevin and Jonny, who did an outstanding job. We would definitely love to come back again!

After finishing our trip and with a broader view, this hotel is a 10. We went at the beginning of our vacation and I couldn't get over the fact that I had to leave. The place is idyllic, you sleep listening to the sea and the rain falling, I have never rested so well. We went on excursions with them and the organization was incredible, as well as what a great time we had, especially thanks to Jon. The food is exquisite, especially the desserts, and they take care of even the smallest details when preparing the table and presenting the dishes (they also adapt to your dietary restrictions). Additionally, the hotel allows you to have total privacy, while at the same time, it helps guests interact which is ideal for those traveling alone. The staff in general was incredible, good people, always smiling genuinely and willing to help, I even took a list of places to go, eat and sleep recommended by one of the workers for our next stop. As a room, without a doubt, I recommend the deluxe room.To be honest, I don't want to speak too highly of the hotel because I don't want it to become overcrowded and lose its magic, I want to return and find it as I knew it, but the Katembe team deserves this rating. The only two points I would suggest are greater ease of payment online, and (this is a whim) a lamp or light near the bed. There are many hours dedicated to reading and when it gets dark it is a little difficult due to the lack of light.Thank you for the best 4 days of my vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at Katembe very much, the island is so peaceful and pretty. We stayed in the deluxe bungalow and they’re very spacious and comfy. We could swim in the sea directly from the terrace and we particularly enjoyed snorkeling the beautiful house reef that surrounds the whole little island. The team is incredibly sweet and helpful, there’s always the opportunity to join a tour with other guests and fantastic dive sites are just 30 minutes away. Last but not least the food is very good and Ridwan is making a little work of art each meal with the dessert. A place we will not forget, was beautiful to stay here and we wish we could come back one day. thank you Katembe!

We have just stayed 7 nights at this resort and we wanted to highlight how good we had it despite having come during the windy season. The cabins are super relaxing and it is a pleasure to sleep over the sea. The friendliness of the staff is incredible, Ridwan, Benny, Dillon, Samman, Johnny among others have made us feel super comfortable. The meals are incredible, from breakfast to dinner, each day with different menus and each dish taken care of in the smallest detail. We took the diving package and the team is very professional and qualified. It was the best diving of our lives. The only drawback is that in the windy season the resort is totally focused on the south, which is where the wind comes from and we were left without being able to take any excursions.I hope we can repeat it in high season since it has been incredible despite the weather.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank you!!!!

Amazing!! We have just enjoyed seven magical nights at Katembe Private Island. The Katembe team go above and beyond to look after their guests. Our sincerest thanks to manager Dillon, restaurant head Ridwan, barman and builder Benny, dive masters Saman and Cliff, dive hands Johnny, Ronnie, Ambo and Kevin, and the countless others who all play a role at Katembe. The accommodation (we were in one of the newer bungalows) was amazing but unexpectedly surpassed by the food - three course meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner, with amazing flavours and fabulous presentation, meant every meal was a real treat. We enjoyed a number of snorkelling and diving trips organised by Dillon, who was great at selecting trips that were both within our budget and that took into account the changeable (windy season) weather. However most of our time was spent relaxing - reading, sleeping, swimming and snorkelling off the deck of our bungalow. If you are looking for somewhere to completely relax and disconnect from the craziness of normal life, then this is the place for you.

The website promises more than reality deliversThe old bungalows are pretty dilapidated,An unpleasant smell occurs repeatedly, especially at low tide, and the house reef is difficult to reach because there is no ladder on the jetty. There are hardly any paths to walk on except for the footbridges, so you don't get much out of the private island. The positive aspects are the (professional) friendliness of the staff, the food and the always beautifully decorated dining table
