Putih Lessy is a sublime spot, extraordinarily peaceful and beautiful, with views from the beach over thestrait to the mountains of mighty Ceram island. Some of the best snorkeling we did in Maluku is accessible straight off the beach, including beautiful coral, astonishing fish and black fin sharks (they don't bite!). The site itself is a beautiful collection of wooden buildings and huts all built by Assis himself and a lovely environment to while away the hours. The food, served 3 times a day, is the best we've had in Maluku, and genuinely inventive and different while remaining true to the local cuisine. Coffee and tea are available in limitless quantities day long. Assis and his family are kind, attentive but relaxed, and able to help rent scooters, get you in and out and advise on things to do on Saparua and beyond. The accommodation itself is good without being outstanding (there's no AC if that's a problem for you - fans provided), but overall the simple living and sound of the sea to send off to sleep is delightful.The only improvements that could have been made to our stay were a better fan in the room, bedside tables and more soft places to lounge onsite during the day. All easily sorted hopefully!We paid 500,000Rp/night/person, so by Indonesian standards it is not particularly cheap, but absolutely worth it for all the reasons given above. If you want to relax, see beautiful marine life and be looked after well in a peaceful and beautiful spot, look no further.
