Amazing place !It's run by a lovely family very joyful and always there to help.Rooms are really comfy and we took more nights than expected as we felt so well.Erwin was a perfect guide for the volcano trek, he took us on a secondary path and guided us perfectly.Huge thanks to all for your warm welcome !

We didn't like this place at all. The room had a hole in the window. The room was very worn out (Although, the owners currently make an effort to paint parts of the establishment again). …

I had a great stay! The room was spacious and clean, the setting is beautiful and the location ideal. The food and coffee are excellent.Very good value for money! Finally, a huge thank you to the great family who manages this hotel, they were very welcoming, warm and caring!I had a great time with them, they even took the time to show me the town of Berastagi where I was able to buy some good coffee! They also connected me with a great guide who managed my Mount Sibayak hike.I 100% recommend this resthouse! Thanks again to them, I hope to be able to come back one day!

Wish we could recommend this place, but unfortunately multiple aspects of our stay fell below expectations. To start with the positives, the property is located under 2 km from the town center, and we appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle while maintaining accessibility. There is also a pretty large lawn area which looks lovely to picnic on in good weather. Rooms have hot showers. Wifi functional but weak at just 2mbps and couldn't support a zoom meeting. It was fine for normal web browsing, and if one sat closer to the balcony. However, the room, though spacious, looked dated and worn out, and it was already one of their better rooms. The walls were badly in need of a fresh coat of paint. The first room we were given had a toilet with cracked cistern, so when flushed, water flower out of it onto the floor instead of into the toilet bowl. We were changed to another room that had a leaking tap that caused water to drip down the wall (photo attached) which we didn't bother to make a fuss about. Perhaps that is the standard for rooms at this price range in the area. What disappointed us the most, however, was their overpriced services. From driver services to Sibayak sunrise hike to motorbike rental, we were able to find prices at least 30% cheaper elsewhere. For example, for the Sibayak sunrise hike, we were quoted 350k per person at first, but because apparently no one else at the rest house was going on the same day as us, they said we would need to pay 1 mil. We asked at another place and paid 200k per person to join a small group and had a wonderful time. The accomodations has so much potential if the owners put in a little more effort in room maintenance and were a little less money grabby.

Worse place I stay in IndonesiaSuppose to be a quiet placeTurn out nightmare local children scream and play, car alarm honk and opening closing of door till 1am. Dog bark the whole night.First room gave use tolite broken, flush water every thing back flow out.2nd room. Shower head broken have to fix a plastic bag to let the water flow properly. We Ask for twin sharing room 1 had to sleep on the floor with mattresses.Give use a kettle that wire is so short that we have to stack table to pluck in to use it.Outside tap is leaking till the whole floor is wet.Everything over charge customer by 40/50%Hard selling their own tourIf they don't have the tour theyNot interested to help customer to find out more or join others group, hard sell you their pricey personal parkage for 1million but on our own We able to find other hike up the volcano for 200 with 4 others from others guest house.Nightmare stay.

I had mixed feelings about staying here.Pros: Really nice staff and great rooms in the main building (obv they're more expensive). Great location if you're hiking up Mt.Sibayak. The food is really good - I had their nasi goreng and mie goreng with fried chicken multiple times.Cons: initially booked the cheaper room - it was NOT kept in good condition! The property is a wee bit out of town so youd have to walk/take public bus everywhere you want to go.
