Considering the super nice staff, four stars does not quite do justice to our experience on site, four and a half would be better for our experience.The villa needs some minor maintenance, but the local help desk dealt with minor problems very well. They responded quickly and adequately. At the time of our visit (late March/early April) the village was dealing with a centipede infestation. Innocent for us, but still annoying because they had complete possession of our garden :) Of course there was little the team could do about it.The villa itself is modern and well equipped, it has a nice sized swimming pool, nice sitting/lounge options both inside and outside, a smart TV, large bedrooms, a large bath, fully equipped kitchen with oven, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker. ) and a beautifully landscaped garden with a view of the sea. What (or rather who) really made our stay fantastic is Kadek! We still have to get used to having villa staff, but with Kadek we clicked from the first moment. She was positively present and yet invisible.Kadek has been working there for 3 months, but you clearly notice that she has a lot of experience and a feeling for working with guests. She knew our habits within a day and adapted completely to them, she knew who liked to drink what at what time, what we liked, etc. Kadek did our shopping for us at the local market, got Western products from the supermarket and has almost cooked for us every day. We were always surprised and never disappointed, and she also took our children aged 1 and 3 into account perfectly.Hopefully Kadek is also appreciated as much by her employer, we would never let her go :) Our children already miss their dear Balinese grandmother (as she called herself) and we would also have liked to keep her with us during the rest of our trip. Our best experience with villa staff! Kadek (the gardener) and Putu (security guard) were also very friendly, but spoke little English.The villa is about a 15-minute walk (with children) from the black sand beach where there are also various options for a drink. Our favorite place for that was Warung Segara Mas. In terms of activities in the area, we would at least recommend the Mayong trekking.Terima kasih! 🙏

What a beautiful house this was, we wanted to stay here for another week, so beautiful!!3 incredibly beautiful bedrooms, each with its own large bathroom, lovely large invinity swimming pool with a view over the Bali sea, lovely outside terrace, beautiful and very well maintained garden by a nice gardener who comes here every day. And we have been spoiled here by the host Kadek Marini, what a super sweet, professional, hardworking woman she is!! Everything kept spotlessly clean and fantastic cooking all week long!! If only we could take her to Holland!! And if you need anything or want an outing with a driver, for example, you can arrange it with Dina, another nice professional woman who manages several villas, including this beautiful villa. We definitely want to come back here again!!

It‘s sad to only give 4 stars (and even having to think about giving 3) since the villa itself is amazing! It‘s even more beautiful than in the pictures. Lots of space and really good taste when it comes to the interior design.The staff is also amazing! Kadek cooks for you, Dyna takes care of all other inquiries plus the pool boy and security also do a great job! You feel fully taken care of and don’t have to worry about anything.Why only 3-4* then? There is a mosque close by which is extremely loud (might even be two mosques according to our driver). The prayers during the day are a bit annoying, because they sometimes go on for 1-1.5h, but that’s completely manageable! What’s not manageable are the night prayers. There was always a prayer from 4:40-6:10am every night and sometimes also a shorter one at 3:30am. According to the owner, they were only that loud bc of the hajj which is not true. They remained insanely loud even after, just a bit shorter (~50min). For several parts (not continuously) the prayers are so loud that behind closed doors, with earplugs and noise canceling headphones you still here them!So if you are a normal sleeper or light sleeper, expect to not sleep through a single night. If you have a deep sleep, it should work for you! It was also a bit disappointing how the rental agency handled that. After them downplaying the issue, we just asked (with three days prior notice) for a refund of the last night which we wouldn’t have spent in the villa anyways, because of a medical appointment we had to attend in Denpasar. They were neither willing to acknowledge the severity of the issue nor even move a tiny bit in our direction (we got 0$). Before renting, I experienced the contact as very warm and helpful providing good materials, this handling however was very disappointing and didn’t hold up to the high customer standards the local staff always showed!Long story short: Amazing villa, amazing amenities, great staff, but you probably won’t sleep a single night without getting woke up.(Plus: The driver who was advertised as a good English speaker, barely spoke two sentences of English. We used a different company for our tours and can highly recommend Putu from Lovina Bali Taxi Service! He is amazing!!)
