Villa Banjar Beach

Just spent 2 weeks at this amazing villa, right on the beach. The newest photos are an accurate representation of the quality of the property, I’m not going to add more.Villa: really nice, roomy, comfy Villa with great amenities. A TV, really, who watches TV on holidays, anyway, great WiFi and TV. Beds are comfortable, downstairs bathrooms are private but outdoor, as was mentioned in an earlier review, shower bases can be dangerously slippery when wet, so not good for older people or those with mobility issues, upstairs shower is safer, but large flight of stairs then 2 steps down to the bathroom. None of this was an issue for us though and I’m 61 with a prosthetic knee, just need to be careful. Great sun lounges and lounge setting, the Villa was great overall, it’s nearing 20 years old so is showing some signs of age but nothing major.Staff: we begged Kadek and Desak to come home with us as they looked after us so well. What a great asset they and the rest of the staff are to this Villa. We left meal choices to them as we wanted to try all the traditional cooking that we could fit in and they didn’t disappoint, amazing cooks and very nice, caring people. Ketut and Putu kept the pool and grounds pristine and nothing was too much trouble. Edy was the ghost that walked, you hardly saw him but knew he was there as lights would just go on, real peace of mind for overnight safety.Location: great spot, yes the road in is a little rough and the beach is dirty, but Bali is littered with rubbish everywhere and drive slowly, not a Villa issue. The local area is real Bali with very nice local people, happy to say hello on the most part. I went for a half hour walk every morning as I was eating too much fabulous food and never felt uncomfortable. Money changing, markets and supermarkets within a few minutes drive with some amazing places to eat in the guide book.Best relaxing holiday we have had to date, terima kasih to all the staff.
