Good value for money on the island. But the biggest value here is the owner - Chris, who helped me with so many thing during my 3 weeks on the island.

Perfect place. Feel free to go there. Glutomate and other additives are not used in the kitchen. The owner Chris is a wonderful person, you can trust him and use all the services. Everywhere is orderly and clean. Thank you, Chris.

This is a review of the owner only and not of the property. I politely asked to cancel the reservation for one night free of charge. I became ill and was unable to make the trip. However, no response at all from the owner. This says a lot about a person.

Good room, relatively clean but no WiFi. Service is nice as the owner will call up taxi and work out transport for you. Location is poor.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Chor Chaba. A very friendly and accommodating couple run the restaurant and hotel. They fulfill all the guests' wishes. The food is very tasty and the beds very comfortable and the rooms very clean. We would come back in a heartbeat. A beautiful beach is a 1 minute walk away.

We had a really nice stay at Chor Chaba. Chris is a very welcoming host and super helpful with information about the island and onward travel. (We had booked ours before arriving but wish we had waited and booked it through Chris as he keeps you up dated on everything and can help if any issues). The rooms are really spacious and comfortable with plenty of space for hanging clothes. There's a small seating area outside. Bathroom is quite rustic but sufficient! There is a nice beach right over the road and several nearby restaurants. Chris also hires out scooters (from memory I think 250 Baht and that's for 24 hours which is much more useful than per day) and you can fill your drinking water bottle for a small donation. Pool table is a nice addition to the bar area, but is sometimes closed earlyish. Great stay - recommend.

Chris and his family are very nice, attentive hosts. Chris likes to take care of his guests (which you can feel), the house and the accommodation as well as everything else you need - 🛵, 🤿, transfer, ferry... 👍👍👍. We really liked Choir Chaba. Rooms are set back from the not very busy road - although one or two TukTuks or 🛵 also run at night. Rooms are quite airy, large and quiet, equipped with AC and van, big bed (which is a little musical). 🏖️Beach 100m away, through a palm garden, very beautiful! You can eat on site or directly opposite - 3½ options, there are at least 10 other restaurants and a few food markets within walking distance. So the situation is much better than it initially seems.The price is very cheap for the value.

The man that owns it is friendly but i think he has too much on his plate 🤣 he promised me i could stay longer but then i couldn't. Then he promised me he would help me with transport but then he couldn't... Other than that it's a good place!

Enjoyed a very good vegetarian breakfast every day! Food is good and you can get free drinking water.The hosts Cherry and Chris are very friendly and welcoming!

Simple but refined environment, they also have backpackers style rooms. Simple but delicious cuisine. Excellent prices and friendly, competent service.I highly recommend!!

Exceptionally tasty authentic thai food! All food is cooked fresh to order with loads of vegetarian options. They even opened for me when the kitchen should have been closed. Also superb value, highly recommended!

Leaving an honest review here. The owner is very nice, but a few things went quite wrong. First off, we bought tickets from him back to Bangkok, and he didn’t actually make the booking. Just completely forgot after we arranged it with him. Which meant that we would be picked up two hours after we planned AND the ferry would bring us to the very southern tip of Thailand near Cambodia, making the drive to Bangkok much longer. He gave us breakfast for free because of his mistake.. but come on man. What if we had a flight to catch?The room was not comfortable. AC didn’t work (there was no remote to be found). Bed was hard. And the bedpost on the top bunk was sharp metal and I cut my knee pretty good on it. Can’t recommend this place unfortunately. They need to get their act together

Me and my best friend are picky ones, but we came back to eat here more than once. Food always delicious, prices are really good and they already knew when we came back only the second time our names and choice of our drinks. :) Chris and Sherry were super nice with us.You can play pool as well if you like.Furthermore Chris helped us to solve some problems we had on the island even that we were not a resort guests only went to the restaurant and the topic was far from restaurant things and I could continue with more things but I think it is enough proof to visit their place at least once when you are on the island!Thanks again!

Chris and Sherry make for great hosts, even remembering everyone's names! A simple bed to stay, good food and some social atmosphere which you won't find in any resort on this island. Perfect for solo-travelers looking for a simple, basic stay.Thank you two and the team!
