SP Place is a small and convenient Hotel Located smack in the middle of Koh Chang. A friend had booked this Hotel For a group of 5. When we arrived we were greeted by Firn the Hotel Manager, to my relief spoke and understood English very very Important. As I’m an American who does not Speak Thai language. I have stayed at some of the best Hotels in and around Bangkok a bustling city with many hidden gems to speak of, however my experience in a big city of Thailand I wanted a more serine experience away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Koh Change was the perfect spot to come to it was late as the drive from Bangkok to Koh Chang was around 7 hour drive. However we a a group of 5 had a situation I was running low on Baht and I needed my own private room my friend only booked 2 rooms . I couldn’t pay for 3 rooms I could only pay for 2. I was in a pickle! Firn the Manager would come to my rescue. With no extra cost she provided another room at no cost to me to have my friend Ma and his wife stay in the third room. What a relief as I now had a place I could rest and enjoy my stay. I had no clue where I was I know we took a ferry from the mainland Thailand to this island. I had been using Google Translate which helped tremendously thank you Google for this amazing app a God Send to say the least. That night I rested well and woke up to a beautiful sunny day. I was supposed to move on with my group of five the next day I decided at this time running low on money to go and speak to Firn and I explained my situation. Saved by an angel she and I worked out a deal for the remainder of my Long 30 day vacation and she arranged for me to stay at SP Place . The following day I explained to my friends this is where I’ll stay for the remainder of my time which I’ll head back to USA on December 14. FIrn would arrange for me a way to get back to Bangkok and back home. She speaks and understands English and i could not be happier and more excited for my trip now . Koh Change has all the amenities a traveler would ever want. November months in Koh Chang is not a very busy month so the opportunity that Firn gave me was priceless. The water is not clean and smells bad.Request to move hotels and charge us the price for 1 full day. Tell us you've used the room. Even though we just went in and turned on the water.Really not okay

It is one of those times in life where you have to lose the feeling of traveling and relaxing with the hope of coming to relax. The room is not as described at all. The room is not clean. The air conditioner made a noise all night and was informed and then never came to take care of it. As for the water in the bathroom, it can be said that this good muddy water has a rusty smell or a muddy smell. I'm not sure. The water flowed very gently until the shower was finished.

Was there during new year with my friend. I was planning to stay for few nights but end up with only one night apparently. Only the location is good. I was so disappointed with using groundwater for bathroom , it smell really bad , brown colour of water . I can't take shower or that kind of groundwater for my face ..

UPDATED: Agoda has finally refunded me after I got my bank involved but no one has taken responsibility for the mistake. I can't say if it was the hotel's fault all the booking agent but nevertheless; it was really difficult to contact the hotel so that didn't make it any easier.Made a booking through Agoda and SPplace said they never recieved the booking but payment was taken. They were not helpful in trying to get us a refund. Difficult to contact on the phone. Went to the actual hotel 3 times before someone was at the front desk and all he could tell us was "my daughter has to sort it out and she isn't here". Terrible customer service. My money was stolen.

It's like the school hasn't opened for a long time. The bathroom still had dust on the sink and balcony, trash cans, drinking glasses, etc. I had to ask several times before it was complete.This morning, there was the sound of the alarm clock from the banging of the rotted roof on the rooftop.Book without ever seeing the actual place Do you have to face this?

For the price we paid (370 baht/night) it was great. There was a problem with the shower and the water in the sink smells bad, this wasn't a big deal though. Everything else was good. Clean room, soft bed, good location.

Accommodation is relatively cheap.Service is according to price.Consumer water has a slight smell.Some items are not provided, such as glasses and hair dryers.Cleaning and changing towels are not provided.Advantages: close to the main beach, close to 7-Eleven, friendly staff.

Close to everything, staff were very nice. Only a couple of minutes walk to beach. You get what you pay for, the room was clean and tidy...
