I really liked the resort, in a quiet place, on a very beautiful beach. Clean, in the restaurant good food and good price. The family that runs it is lovely. I recommend it!

An absolutely gorgeous place!The price is unbeatable! The accommodation consists of a bungalow with a bathroom and space for 2 to 3 people.The rooms have air conditioning, television (with Thai TV), refrigerator, kettle and warm shower.You can rent scooters, eat cheaply and book massages on site. The loungers are made of high quality wood and are free of charge. They are under trees. The prices for additional services are at the same level as in the interior of the country.The only disadvantage: some bungalows are 30 to 50 m from the beach, which you don't necessarily realize when booking or looking at the pictures.The owners are a family that is very nice.Very suitable for people looking for peace and relaxation! Gladly again!

I would like to thank you, we had a great stay in this family-run bungalow complex in February!!!We have been visiting Thailand for 20 years and the plastic waste/garbage situation has gotten insanely worse...You have to remember that you are not visiting a 4 or 5 star resort where the garbage is professionally collected every morning. The people there don't have the opportunity to independently dispose of all the rubbish that washes up, depending on the current and from all over the world. The garbage collection doesn't come more often than it did 10 years ago. The resort owners are overwhelmed and left alone!!!!We experienced this on all the beaches we visited, especially when the facilities, like this one, were very remote. The whole world needs to become aware of this and we very much hope that a rethink will slowly take place in Thailand (very, very high plastic consumption).Otherwise great bungalows, warm people, delicious food, atmosphere suits us, the price is also upper limit for us. Located on a really beautiful beach, we found a relatively newly built and spacious bungalow. A very friendly welcome, helpfulness with bookings and a shy smile gave a good feeling. Food in the restaurant was tasty and the price was also ok. But if you calculate the room price plus the breakfast, which is charged separately in cash, I think the price-performance level is clearly exhausted.A scooter could be booked directly by the owner. I found the constant payment in cash annoying (no card payment possible), which is generally the practice on the island. The cleanliness was not that convincing, a request for a second towel for my wife's long hair was rejected. If you walk through the complex and onto the beach with your eyes open, after a few days you will notice some things that are unacceptable.The beach is constantly extremely littered in large parts, one really wonders how it can be that people voluntarily lie down in the middle of the garbage... in front of the facility, people sweep it up as the mood takes them and also remove it as the mood takes them or simply leave it lying there hoping for tides, wind and rain that the garbage will go away on its own. Walking barefoot on the beach at night is extremely risky due to the many things lying on the beach. If you look at the entire accommodation, you could assume a certain lack of love and neglect. There really is a lot of work that could really work wonders with a few hours of hard work. Instead, you constantly see the employees lying in the corner on the phone. The beach loungers and chairs are scattered all over the place as the guests have placed them, regardless of whether they are in the water at high tide, there is obviously no interest. No matter what time of day, it's chaos. There are also no cushions and you lie on the bare wood. Given the amount of waste, I absolutely don't understand why so many disposable products are still used here. A wrapped biscuit for coffee, bottles of mini shampoo, jam, butter, plastic straws... considering the condition of the beach, where you can find exactly these things, a thoughtlessness that is still alive. There are many things missing here, but above all responsible behavior. Another note because I'm an allergy sufferer, moldy pillows don't work at all!!

Nice place on the beach cheap food and drinhs

If you are looking for a quiet secluded area this is the place to book. It is basically on the beach front rooms are spacious and AC was amazing. Food here was also very good staff were very friendly and helpful

In the last ten years I have spend together more than 6 months in Thailand and this is absolutely the best accomodation for the money I ever had in the whole kingdom. The owner is lovely lady who can understand English quite well and do whatever she sees in you eyes. We spend there 14 days with my family (two kids) – and I cried when we were leaving. Ao Yak is the best beach in the whole island with purest water in the area, there are the best clever-designed bungalows (noise-reducing glass etc.), best cleaning service, everything was JUST PARADISE. Thank you!

The best vacation in my life, this location is amazing and everything here is so warm. We'll be coming back here again next year!!! Thank you for the lovely time here.
