The owner is very sweet and caring, it is isolated and in nature. Few steps from the room there was a creek and walking through it was wilder than the 4 hour hike we did the day before. We loved it.Only negative is the room sound insulation. You can hear the other people breathing even though they put many sound absorbing panels. There are literally small holes in the wood above the panels, they need to rethink the solution there.

Wonderful food, location and staff! Green resort paradise without looking over the top glamour. We just enjoyed some food, not so cheap buy also not to expensive and lots of options for the dietary and allergic needs for my girlfriend.It's such a blessing if the staff speaks good English and you can really communicatie you allergische and the adjust the food to your needs. My girlfriend finally could eat out :)

Homebar, as the name suggests truly makes you feel at home. We had a wonderful time with Kang and the other guests. It's a charming homestay for peace, quiet and community. Moreover, it's in the middle of the forest, in the quieter part of Ko Chang. We could've easily stayed there a month 😁Do take into account this is not a resort, it's a simple homestay in the forest with lizards, bugs etc. If you want to sleep and wake up to crickets and the sound of birds, spot a hornbill maybe - it's ideal. If you want hot water, the air conditioner and comfort, consider an alternative or adapt.

I didn't stay at the property but took a cooking class. We cooked green chicken curry, papaya salad and chicken satay. The owner was very friendly, the food we cooked together was delicious, the best thing we've had so far in our 2.5 week holiday in Thailand.Afterwards, she really wanted to take photos and videos of us eating to promote her cooking classes. We didn't agree to video recordings, but she understood that.There were two overnight guests on site who seemed satisfied. The accommodation seems to be particularly suitable for solo travelers because the owner regularly offers group excursions.The accommodation is in the jungle and rather quiet.

Complete detox from your hectic lifestyle is what awaits you at Homebar and Gang, a fantastic hostess and cook.If, like us two, you really want to leave your everyday life behind you for a few days, Homebar is the place for you.Here, even the busiest of minds have no choice but to relax with nature.The chattering monkeys 🐒 10,000 voices/ideas running through your mind are replaced by the sounds of the jungle, birds, insects, and waterfalls.Not forgetting Olive and French Fry the dogs.Read the other reviews as well.

The heart of the place, the hostess & self-made woman Kang, is the nices thai person we've met so far.If you're looking for a luxurious beach vacay, you're wrong here, but if you want to have a real, authentic Thai nature experience, this will be what you're looking for.This became our happy place :)

If you don’t mind to stay off the main road, at the very end of the pathway and deep inside the forest; if you don’t mind that the facilities could be inadequate; and you just simply get bored with the seaside and need a very quiet place to take a deep breath, then this is a good choice for you.The lady living here is very cheerful and helpful, she can give you many advise and suggestions, so don’t hesitate to ask if you need help.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The hostess is incredibly warm and helpful. She is also very happy and funny, we laughed a lot.The inn in the middle of the jungle is surrounded by flowers and plants and lovingly designed. We first stayed in the cottage and then extended our stay because we liked it so much. For this we moved into a room in the main building. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. There was air conditioning, a refrigerator and hot water. The cottage even had some kitchen appliances, such as a microwave, electric stove and kettle.The very best thing: Gang, the hostess is an excellent cook. We were in Thailand for two months and never ate THAT well. You must try the Koa Soi Noodles and Panang Curry.We also loved the breakfast, especially the jackfruit that was available every morning. We left with a heavy heart and will always have fond memories of Homebar.

We arrived on Koh Chang and headed straight to the east side. To Homebar.The locals at the pier told us “oh we never go to the east side with taxi”. When we arrived he got out of the car laughing. We immediately knew this was GOOD!We travel to get away from it all and explore the unknown.Chang is a lovely host. Although we arrived early she greeted us with coffee and bananas and we hung out with the dogs olive and French fry as she got everything ready.The beautiful home provides such an amazing experience.We slept with all the doors and windows open and the jungle is just as active as you’d expect it to be.Yes there are bugs and geckos and even a cute bat living nearby.The home was very clean, the bathroom very easy to use and the cold water was refreshing after the hot days.The creek behind the house we used to play around and cool off.We rented a scooter from Chang and spent our days exploring.It was a wonderful stay.Things to note:No mirror (shouldn’t be a big deal)No hot water (it’s healthy)Some bugs (net around the bed)Hidden and secluded (you need to know what you are looking for)

I really loved and appreciated my stay here. The property is owned by a wonderful hostess who is extremely caring and helpful. The property is covered with beautiful flowers, has access to a creek, and you're guaranteed to wake up to the sound of bird calls in the morning. If you're looking for a lovely spot with simple dwellings tucked away in the forest then you'd likely love this place. Moreover, this homestay is locate on the east side of Koh Chang. There is a mangrove forest nearby, some waterfalls, great places to eat off the side of the road, and stunning beaches.

Such a great and unique place in the middle of the forest. Good breakfast and dinner. Every morning you wake up with the sounds of the forest and then can take a bath in the small swimming pool near the bedroom 😊

Nearly perfect retreat 1.5km off the road. Great host, nice food and blissfully relaxing. Only negative is the long unlit drive. There are deep potholes that a motorcycle and 4x4 car can handle but my road car banged into them often.
But I highly recommend this place very far from the tourist side of the island!
