The place is old, there is a fridge in the room, no hot water. Price 50,000 kip. It's hard to encourage, but I have no intention of discouraging. Good location.

@50.000K or €5,- this is one fine place to stay for those on a shoestring budget. And I have to disagree with other reviewers here, although I can only comment on the room I had. You can hardly do better for this price. I don't know if there are rooms in the main building, it looks weathered though architectural nice. The room I had opposite the main building is very spacious, comfortable and clean bed, relatively clean, has a fridge and a TV though I got only one channel working (CNBC) (who needs more;-), a spacious bathroom with all and obviously only cold water. Near the river with many restaurant's. 5 stars from me. Make sure to feed the stray cats. (and PS. folks add prices to reviews they shouldn't be a secret, and please drop comments like affordable, reasonable, fair, good, cheap etc.)

I saw it from outside and it looks like a ruin;;;;Even if you are a backpacker... you probably won't be able to sleep here.Well, if you think it's better than sleeping outside, there's nothing you can't do.
