I booked a single fan room for 6 nights and it was amazing. It was clean and comfortable, the host Nui was very nice and friendly. They provided the drinking water, coffee, snacks, bananas and coffee for guests. The only thing I would like to mentioned is you need to pay for the A/C 350$ per day which is almost the half price of the room. If you dont have A/C basically you can’t stay in room start from 10am to 6pm, it was VERY HOT.

Very good location in the center of Koh Lipe close to everything. Mr. Nui is adorable, welcoming and smiling, he loves to be of service to others as if we have known each other for a long time. I recommend this hostel to everyone.

The staff are really lovely and the location is perfect! The terrace is pleasant and the place is very clean! I loved the self-service: bananas, clementines, coffee, tea.. :)

I stayed at Sang Chan Hostel for three days and can't say much negative about the accommodation. Only my room was a bit uncomfortable due to the lack of air conditioning and the rather wobbly bed, as the hot air couldn't escape from the room, but was only whirled around by fans.Other than that I had a good time. The staff was friendly, the lounge area was okay and the price-performance ratio was also good

Owner is very nice, rooms are clean and location is perfect! They have coffee/tea, sometimes bananas in the morning and a rice cooker always with rice in it that we were able to use. And most importantly free drinking water to refill your bottle. Only thing is the wifi could be a bit faster but it worked. Good and cheap place to stay in Koh Lipe!

We had a pleasant stay at Sang Chan hostel. The manager and housekeeper were helpful and attentive. Small room, however cosy and had all the basics you needed to have a great time and get freshened up!! Balcony is nice to sit and watch the day pass by

I took a mixed dorm room. In low season during my stay nobody is there in my room except me. Read almost every feedback before booking to this hotel saying it is very hot during day time and not really soundproof. But I think we get more than what we paid for as in a mixed sharing basis dorm. The rooms are clean. Staff are very attentive almost not saying No to any of your requests! I spend my maximum time out. Only back to the hotel to sleep. I came and forgot to bring my lock for the safe. The receptionist gave me the lock and safe together. everywhere I turn in my room from every angle there is a fan. So it's manageable and not really hot. My entire stay was so safe and enjoyable. Clean toilet and clean rooms guarantee for sure! Cute fat cats. You may buy any food for them. Even a cat is so friendly on the island. Near the walking street like you enter the walking street in 20 steps. Near to pataya beach as well. So when you get down from the boat upon reaching the island you can walk to this hotel from the beach and access from the walking street very very near.

Great host, great lounge area, located close to the walking street but not noisy. We can walk from here to any part of the island especially the sunset beach and Pattaya beach is very accessible. Rooms are small, no AC, no TV but that's a good thing.

I stayed in this hostel with my cousin around 4 weeks ago, we booked for 2 nights originally and ended up staying for 7. This seemed to be a common theme all the backpackers seemed to be extending their stay whilst there. I felt a really good energy from the place and staff right from arriving, the host was such a wonderful lady and she made us feel very welcome and the domestic staff were also very lovely, it had a very homely vibe to it. Very clean, hot showers and tea coffee biscuits and bananas in the morning. The beds were also very comfortable and clean, also the cost was extremely reasonable, I cannot recommend this place enough and when I go back to Kho Lipe this is definitely where I will be staying again.

For a small double room with fan there was a super low pressure in the shower water, no privacy in the room since the balcony was the hostels smokers zone and the windows were also turned to other hostel balconies, wifi was very weak and almost inexistent in the room, no space for putting baggage, noise in the street that forced us to wear earplugs… So for more than 20€ it was our most expensive place in Thailand for the conditions presented. For having A/C they were asking 300thb more per night. A complete abuse and cannot really understand all the good reviews that took us to choose this place. Maybe it’s just complicated to find a decent quality/value in this island, a pity since the corals and nature around are amazing but it seems that Koh Lipe has just turned into a mass tourism honeymoon place.
