We based our choice in choosing this resort on a publicised overall review score of 3.9. That is obviously loaded as this resort is at the lower end of the market.Our advice to others trying to ascertain if this property is for them, is to discount any review which gives all 4'S and 5's as there is no way they genuinely reflect the property.Except for location, 2 is an honest rating and 1 would not be unfair either.The only up sides are:1) Location. Right on Sunrise Beach and only a short easy stroll to Walking Street is ideal; and2) a big waters-edge deck is also a plus!The downsides though, are:1) Dated and damaged room (beach front villa);2) a gigantic bath (aka white elephant in the middle of what could have been a nice sized living area), that has no hot water and such low water pressure, you would need to book a week stay in order to wait for the bath to fill;3) mostly no usable wifi, in the room and often not in the restaurant area either;4) TV that has dozens of channels, but spread over 300+ blank channels requiring ages to scroll through. Of those dozens that did work, the vast majority were rubbish shopping channels in Thai language and only 1 channel (France 24) was in English;5) the bathroom was very dated, very hot and mouldy;6) gaps between the floorboards and broken floorboards to under the villa allowing mosquitoes entry in;7) big ants in the bed (although non-biting variety);8) the bed set up sideways to fit the room meaning feet hang over the end;9) an air-cond sized at the barest minimum meaning it cannot adequately cool the room without leaving it on 24/7. When you leave the room, an old-style key is soldered to the programmed card which means to lock the room you must in turn remove the programmed card, turning the A/C off. If you do not lock the room (to keep the A/C on), management impose a 3000 Baht "fine" (as they call it);10) no safety deposit box in the room;11) no housekeeping;12) 3 in 1 coffee sachets (x2) meaning if you don't like sugar or creamer, too bad, you've got it anyway;13) no top up of coffee sachets each day (although to be fair, 2 x water bottles per day were provided);14) breakfast only started at 8am, making it difficult to have a casual breakfast and meet morning booked activities;15) included breakfast was rudimentary, at best. This morning, my "American Breakfast" (complete with glowing photograph) was nothing like the description. It consisted of 3 half slices of toast, 1 fried egg, 1/2 a small chicken sausage cut in half again (not even a full one) about 1/3 of a rasher of bacon (may have been turkey bacon as the resort is Muslim managed, difficult to say), and a very small portion of butter and jam. This was complemented by tiny jam biscuits, sliced pancakes, some watermelon pieces, corn flakes and cordial. This breakfast was actually better than yesterdays, when there were no pancakes;16) the restaurant closes at 5.30pm, well before most people are keen to eat dinner, but well after lunch; and17) an expectation to settle the bill in cash, yet when pushed they do have card facilities, but charge an extortionate 5%!We paid roughly 5000 baht per night based on the 3.9 review ranking.We now know that those reviews are either management, staff or friends playing the numbers game. Placing reviews that are bogus.I'm guessing management are also playing other numbers games, that being to bring in the suckers with the false reviews and not worry about the complaints as there is always another sucker waiting to be ripped off!Our advice. Give Sea To Moon a wide berth. There are plenty of others on Sunrise Beach that are far better value for money.For photos, see our trip advisor review

This hotel is having the best location in Ko Lipe. You can consider are 2 private beaches without any local boats to spoil the vibe. They don’t have umbrellas for the sun-beds because are plenty of tree for the shade.

The service has been very bad.I ordered something for breakfast and they brought me what they wanted. When I asked them to change it, they didn't want to, saying that they didn't have anything in the kitchen... it wasn't true because other clients arrived later.Very expensive for the bad service they have

Absolutely wonderful staff helpful and attentive staff booked excursions for us the location is the best on Sunrise Beach we will stay here next time

Got a room next to the sea, had a soaking tub, opened the balcony door to see the beach and the sea, saw the sunrise, beautiful view, good location, easy to get around, able to walk down to the beach. When going out diving You can have a boat pick you up at the beach.But the room is quite old. When it rains, there will be water leaks in the extension that extends to the beach. In the bedroom zone it is still acceptable. The bathroom zone was not impressive at all. It was old, looked out of proportion, and had a smell.

Exceptional service. Maria and Jes did everything to make us feel comfortable. Whatever we wanted or needed, they took loving care of us. We felt very comfortable. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Good price-performance ratio.

Perfect place to stay if u are hunting for sunrise. Newly painted and the facilities also.The staff really helpful. They also full filled my request for anniversary decoration. This resort near to walking street and u can enjoy halal food overhere. Perfect stay if you are looking for affordable seaview resort!
