Oh my gracious ! A true guesthouse experience ! The oldest, saddest furniture I think I have seen in years ! There's like 5 dogs and 20 cats and kittens ! The windows barely close properly, and the AC struggles to cool the room ! Location is good - can walk to the malls and bus station ! But bring your absolute lowest expectations !

Book a room through Agoda. Call to ask what time you can check in? The man receiving the phone said that he was disgusted, he was not satisfied, he opened the service, he was old and dead, he paid for it, and he asked to sleep for free 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

... the place is a bit like a hacienda, U-shaped room building, with a large, quiet green courtyard in the center, with table areas to relax... the room is functional, with air conditioning. or fan, the bathroom is clean, some rooms have a mini fridge, but no electric kettle, which is available downstairs, with tea and coffee available for guests... there are cats roaming around and a few dogs, if you like animals you will be served... the price is rather "light", but be careful, quite a few power cuts, one lasted 23 hours (remember to recharge your smartphone), therefore, 23 hours without air conditioning, without water, in the middle of June 😬👎 ... otherwise it remains a good value for money place... the boss is very nice, he speaks French well...

For the price of the rooms, this is one of the best guesthouse I have ever stayed in. From now on, whenever I am in Vientiane, Laos I will stay here. The owners have a real knack for making you feel like you are family. So does the dog and all the cats.Very close to Wat Si Muang, one of the most popular Buddhist temples in Vientiane for the locals, and has been my favorite temple in Vientiane for many years.

The owner is very nice and accommodating, he speaks a little French too. He was able to take care of our bus journey to Thakhek (be careful, we had misunderstood, the bus takes 6 hours to get there so the time he suggests means arriving at 2:30 in the morning...).There are a lot of cats on the property, we found them adorable. But if you are allergic avoid it.The room we had was a bit rustic, my bed had half the springs pushed in... the direction of the fan couldn't be changed so it blew a little far away. And there was air conditioning but without a remote control, so it could not be turned on.And it's impossible to connect the charger to the sockets (they don't hold).

The price shown on Agoda and the price the owner said were completely different, so I showed them the screen showing the price and corrected them, but unfortunately they couldn't agree on anything!I refused and looked for another accommodation, but since I arrived at night, it was very inconvenient.

Suitable and stylish, and relatively budget-friendly.Beautiful setting; and close-enough to convenience services, and varied food options. About a half-hour walk from city centre–take it or leave it!I booked via Agoda, in the interest of ensuring a room; got a great deal to boot, but the owner would not honour it. He offered a discount, in lieu. As a principle, I found this inappropriate, but at 200k full price, a twin room with a fan is reasonable price here.The fan didn't rotate, the mattress was one of the worser I've slept on in the last month in Laos, there was no bidet in the bathroom, no drinking water refill; but with hot water shower, a beautiful courtyard, and a coffee station, I was still comfortable.The house owners are a friendly older couple who speak Laotian, English, and French. They are not always around, however; none of the other family (they have an adult son who is always on the property) can help with rebooking, money-handling, etc, while they are gone. The son's young boy who lives there is cute and charming but runs around the courtyard stealing your things, spitting, urinating, etc.I loved the friendly cats and dogs on the property, but they often fought with one another, or other animals in the neighborhood; so in my three nights stay I was woken up each night by yowling and hissing. As an added note, there is currently (Janurary 2024) construction on the property behind the house and there is noise during the day.Very mixed feelings. Would recommend to others, with aforementioned warnings, but would never stay again myself.

We booked with Agoda and when we arrived we were told the price was wrong online and we had to pay an extra 200,000. The only other option would be to look for somewhere else to stay and try to claim a refund from agoda so we decided to pay. We heard him say this to every single person that arrived.The room was really really dirty, we had cockroaches in the bedroom and also on the day of checkout we noticed worms living in the cracks of the shower tiles.The mattress was awful and had springs coming out of it.They were looking after a lot of animals which was nice but the dog howled all night and the cats would fight really badly so you get woken up hourly because of this.You can stay at really nice places in Vientiane with breakfast included for 100,000 extra per night.I wouldn't recommend staying here unless they sort out the pricing and give everywhere a really deep clean and replace the mattress.

Purchase two nights on Agoda.Once we arrive, the owner asks us for more money than we have already paid, claiming that the amount proposed by Agoda was too low. Same game played to two girls before us.Once we entered the room we pointed out to the owner that the cleanliness was not the best, whereupon his wife decided to chase us away as she was offended by the criticism!!!!!! Not wanting problems and bad moods, we decide to leave, naturally asking that the amount already paid be returned to us. No way!We contacted Agoda customer service who within two days let us know that the facility would not return anything to us as the cancellation policies had to be implemented earlier. Too bad we didn't cancel but got kicked out!Bad and sad experience and no customer protection from Agoda.

I wanna give a genuine post so I've had to go down the middle as was a 50/50 experience, booked for 3 nights .night 1 ,some random noise in the room owner and me couldn't source ,then dogs kicked barking then stop then start again, no sleep. Night 2 had moved me to a air con room plus discounted the night before ,excellent no noise .cool enough and comfy ,moved me that afternoon as wanted the family room back .I'm solo so I said OK. Discount given again .but got in new room .bed full of metals springs digging in me .bed about to collapse any time as screws not tightened fully ..and the dogs started up barking through the night .not a good sleep ..so all in all the hosts are nice and genuine ..but with all the room moving and not doing much to shut the dogs up it a middle of the range score .if stay and get lucky then you will have a pleasant stay .2 dogs .3 maybe 4 adult cats and about 5 kittens

We were there for about a week. The rooms were okay, but were already getting old. But price performance was good. The location is also good. The city center is easily accessible on foot. If you have a problem with cats and dogs, the guesthouse is not suitable for you. It was okay for about a week, but we wouldn't necessarily have wanted to stay longer.

It's bit old guesthouse rooms are ok not modern type A/ c and non available..but I did first booking by Agoda. Com .but owner say for him can't give Agoda price because he wanted to pay Agoda commission and story I said okay and there is nothing to do that time ..but he nice person old gentleman , Son also there he is 24 hour alcoholic and using Marijuana as well .. my advice is before booking Agoda do double check about with them .. I stay there location is ezy to me for my work...what I go to Lao ..Another thing is Night time too much cat music available because these old couple take care 10 cats and 2 playful dogs ..

Good (150k)I stayed there for a week. The room is not model but it’s clean. There are 2 windows, a public kitchen, free cafe. A small yard, some dogs and cats.The owners are friendly and speak English very well.There is a place to hang wet clothes.Fan twin room (no air conditioner)
