We recently stayed at this hotel, and while it has some appealing aspects, there were several shortcomings that would make me hesitate to return. If we had been staying for more than one night, we likely would have considered moving to a different hotel.PositivesOne of the highlights of our stay was the spaciousness of the room, which was larger than those at other hotels in the same price range, such as COSI or Ibis. The room was clean and aesthetically pleasing, and the hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Joma Cafe, which offers some of the best Western-style food at reasonable prices. I genuinely wish I could share more positive experiences about this hotel, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.DrawbacksUnfortunately, there were several drawbacks to our stay. The most notable issue was the strong scent of cologne or perfume in the room. Despite opening the windows and running the AC for a few hours, the smell lingered due to the heavy spraying. According to the front desk staff, this is standard practice, so I would advise anyone sensitive to strong fragrances to take note, as it can be overwhelming and may cause headaches. It seems that the hotel has not explored alternative deodorizing methods like other establishments.During check-in, guests are given a choice of breakfast options, both Western and local. However, if you are expecting a truly impressive Western breakfast, you may be disappointed. On a positive note, the coffee was decent, and we ended up walking to Joma Cafe afterward for a more satisfying breakfast.If you are traveling with heavy suitcases or a lot of baggage, be prepared to navigate stairs, as there is no lift available.The Wi-Fi signal was inconsistent, sometimes working well and other times not at all. We typically do not use the TV, but if you enjoy casting content, be aware that it is a small 24" TV.While the room has a nice appearance, there are signs of neglect, particularly in the bathroom, where a thorough cleaning would be beneficial. The towels felt worn and not very soft, and we were disappointed to find that hand soap was not provided, forcing us to use body wash instead.ConclusionIn all honesty, for just $10 more, I would recommend considering COSI or Ibis down the street, as both offer a more pleasant experience in various aspects. If you’re looking for a pool, COSI is a great choice; otherwise, Ibis tends to provide better rooms overall.

I was staying at a different hotel, but since I had an early flight the next morning to leave the country, I decided to stay at this slightly more affordable hotel for one night so I could just sleep most of the last day.The room itself is reasonably clean and neat, but honestly that's about it.The toilet gets clogged easily, the water pressure in the shower gets weak as soon as the water gets hot, there is no free water provided, the key is a physical key so it's a hassle to carry around and open the door, you can only eat breakfast from 8am, it's early in the morning. There was no one at the front desk so it took a lot of time to check out, and even though I asked for a metered taxi, I was given a fixed price taxi, etc. Well, if you say it's worth the price, that's probably true, but what do you think? Personally, I feel that anything under 5,000 yen is reasonable.

Really close to the night market and central-ish to restaurants. The street itself is kind of quiet (which is good), but not too many people were walking around at night (late 2022) so a bit too quiet to walk back with just 2 girls.Our hotel room itself was OK, except the fact that one of the beds had stains :') we got in for just 1 night, but let it go. Great price, but not sure I would stay again!It was about a $15-20 taxi ride to the high-speed rail (to head to Luang Prabang)

Really enjoyed staying here at Bloom!We stayed for 4 nights as a family. We changed hotels to Bloom, as we were looking for something cleaner and more comfortable. The rooms are very clean, decorated nicely but still functional and quiet. They have a good selection for breakfast and we were happy for our 4 days with the different options. The location is amazing, as many things can be walked to easily, yet is on a quiet side street. In the past we have found it difficult to find a good hotel in Vientianne, but I would happily stay at Bloom again in the future.

Nice small hotel right in the tourist center. Near many restaurants, cafes and pubs. Beautiful design. Unfortunately, the receptionist is on the 2nd floor without an elevator, so carrying a heavy suitcase up the stairs is a bit tiring.
