The night market is right outside. I found the staff very helpful and friendly, with beautiful rooms and amenities. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety of foods, drinks, and fruits. They also cater well to gluten free diets.

This was a memorable experience for us. We were very jet lagged when we arrived and the check in process was swift and we were made to feel very comfortable.The staff are extremely friendly, kind and helpful, particularly Boy who checked us in and took us to our room.The hotel feels luxurious and quiet, while being centered in the heart of the old city with many attractions, bars and restaurants in walking distance. We used the gym many times, it is equipped with treadmills, a weight machine and many dumbbells.The beds and pillows are comfortable, and room service is available via an App which is very handy if you need more towels or coffee etc.The breakfast is also very nice with fruit, cereals, breads, cheeses and a menu to select from, and pretty much any coffee you want.I can't rate this place any higher, for the tired traveller or couple on a romantic get away it is perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay ❤️

First of all, the Sunday market is open right in front, so you can easily see it (but you need to think carefully about whether the location of the accommodation in the old town is an advantage). On a rainy night, I barely managed to check into the hotel because the road in front of the hotel was blocked.Very careful: no elevator, no soundproofing at all, a swimming pool you don't want to go in where pigeons drink and shower.Old interior, sofas, old linens, very unfriendly staff (short-haired female staff working at reception) I recognized this from the frantic and hurried check-in, but the same attitude over the few days I stayed, undermining the service of all other friendly staff, making it the worst hotel ever. Lack of cleanliness and hygiene as told by ants in a sealed snack bag,

Ideal hotel for Chiang Mai old city. Plenty of restaurants, bars right across the road and in the vicinity.
Can’t give the review 5* because the floors being wooden throughout can be slippy after rain. Also, lots of stairs being on an upper floor and no lift.

Very good location, very nice rooms, very good service! The only complaint I would have was that the air conditioning in the room left an odd smell. But that wasn’t that big of a deal. I recommend this place!

Pros: The location is in the center of the old town, so if you get tired after wandering around the Sunday market, you can come in, rest, and then go back out. There are many famous cafes, restaurants, bars, and massage parlors nearby, so you don't have to worry about staying up late. The staff are very friendly. It has a large balcony, so it's great to lie down and rest during the day. Cons: It's on the fourth floor, like the third floor, but there's no elevator. So the lower floors were better. Since it was adjacent to the hotel building, most rooms had no privacy and were a bit dark. I stayed on the third floor, but the water pressure was a bit weak. Because it is a small hotel, the breakfast was a bit lacking. Overall a satisfactory hotel. I am willing to stay again if the price is less than 100,000 won per night.

This our 3rd visit to this hotel. Staff are friendly and efficient.All rooms are well equipped and there is an excellent restaurant. An excellent choice for breakfast. Hotel is situated in the centre of the old city perfect for sightseeing and the night market.

If you go to Chang Mai and want to stay in the historic center, you can't miss this hotel. Very characteristic, once inside, it seems to enter another dimension... all in wood, soft lights, sound of flowing water... the rooms are very spacious, comfortable bed, pillows too, there is a lot of attention to the waste. The welcome was fantastic, welcome drink while we checked in and choice of a free bar of soap from three fragrances. Well-stocked fridge in the room with the possibility of having two drinks for free every day (the lemon and honey tea was too good). The breakfast was amazing, à la carte and/or buffet, quick and delicious preparations. We also tried the restaurant for lunch and it was excellent too: pad thai and pineapple fried rice both delicious and at a great price (the equivalent of €16 in total!). Super friendly staff, you could even pass by the reception 10 times, each time they greeted you and asked if everything was ok. At check in, a 2000bth deposit is kept and returned upon exit. The laundry service is also valid (for a fee) and the swimming pool also offers the possibility of using large, always clean towels. Very central location, many places nearby; if Sunday also happens to be one of your days of stay you are lucky enough to have the main evening market of Chang Mai exactly in the street of the hotel: we found souvenirs at very low prices (a third of the costs of Bangkok). Overall we felt really pampered, and we were sad to leave. If we ever return to these parts we wouldn't think twice about rebooking at this fantastic hotel.5 well-deserved stars, congratulations.

The service here is the best, especially Will. The service is very kind and great. We will choose this hotel again next time. In the restaurant Every waiter was very positive and kind, making the brunch unforgettable.

The U Chiang Mai is one excellent hotel. Breakfast was amazing, great service and friendly staff. The rooms are nice, comfortable and cold and you have to opt for the swim-up to your room option. I could not be any happier with my stay! I will choose it again in the future.
