When you first arrive at this hotel, it appears to be pretty well maintained. But, on a closer inspection, it becomes obvious that the people do not understand how to maintain what they have.There is very little water pressure, and if someone in another room is using the water your pressure drops or surges. The hot water barely works there are no light bulbs in the bed side lamps, none of the remote controls have batteries in them.The swimming pools suffer from a severe lack of chemicals. The water is very cloudy and one of the pools had green water and the bottom was not visible at all.The owners have a nice property, that could be first rate if they really cared enough to do what it takes. Unfortunately it appears that that ship has sailed.

The hotel setting is just paradise! Beautiful flowered gardens surround a large swimming pool with two levels, all on top of a hill overlooking the ocean, the dream! Only, the immense potential of the hotel is not exploited at all and the rest of the service leaves something to be desired. The rooms are the simplest, the bathrooms are rudimentary, poorly maintained and the airlock between the two pools is a real open-air closet.Despite the warm welcome from a Balinese employee, the hotel manager is terrible and has no sense of customer relations. Not a hello, not a look, not a word from him during the entire duration of our stay while we shared the terrace of the restaurant and we were the only guests. He spends the whole day on this same terrace with his friends drinking beers and runs absolutely nothing of his establishment since the reception, cleaning, cooking and service are carried out by his Balinese wife. The only time we exchanged with him, he strongly advised us not to continue our route in backpack because as Europeans he was sure that we would get into trouble, all this with an Italian accent cut with a knife. “You don’t know the dangers of this country, I do,” he said, it may seem nice at first, but he was just trying to sell us a taxi service in partnership with the hotel.
