Fantastic location, great facilities some minor issues. Pool pump is on 24/7 and you can’t flush toilet paper in the toilet. Other than that is good.

The hotel is generally recommended. Nice pool, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. But! And the reason I deducted a star is the breakfast. Unfortunately it was really bad and hardly edible. But it's not bad either, because there are good restaurants everywhere.

We stayed at New Pondok Sara Villas for 2 nights, it was ok.Location is definitely really good, right at the center city but from the villa you can’t hear anything. Definitely quiet with a short walk of 5 minutes to the main street.The villa has a lot of room for improvement. To start, the breakfast are very limited and in my opinion, far from good. They make you fill a form every day to choose only 1 option (or eggs, or cereal, or pancake…) and they charge extra for the coffee; even though we paid extra for breakfast when the booking was made.The shower was hot but didn’t have much pressure. The bed was ok. The private pool in the villa is nice, but the pump is loud and we weren’t able to turn it off.Definitely they need to pay attention to the cleanliness. The bathroom stank a bit and when we opened the water bottle that was ‘complementary’ it had a red lipstick stain there 🤮 I had the impression that the surfaces around the villa was a bit oily so felt disgusted to touch it.The staff are friendly, they even made a cute decoration for our room as we are on honeymoon. But it is really pricey for what it is.Overall, I would rate the villa 3/5, mainly because the location was really convenient. But we wouldn’t be back.

Well located near jl 66..very nice and cosy pool villas with reasonable prices..food is good and beer is cold..main pool area is as great place to catch up with friends.the new food menu is yum and really well priced..staff are very friendly and helpful..location location location..........

Excellent location, within walking distance of beach, shops & supermarket. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely accommodation. Will definitely return. Nicely tucked away from very busy road but not that far that you can't access everything you need. 🙂

My favorite place to stay in Bali. Have been coming here for nearly 30 years, when it was the original Pondok Sara! Always great and helpful, friendly staff, breakfast is great, rooms are comfortable and pool is great. Cannot recommend this more highly, simply the best. Location is great and it is peaceful.

Great location, lovely staff.Villa is nice has everything you need butIs in need of some updating. Bed and bedding very comfortable.Breakfast very good, served to your room.Utensils supplied for cooking however I would not use them as they are very oldand stained.Airconditioner in bedroom only, very good.Television in bedroom no netflix.Would I stay here again? Yes if there was a reduced rate.

The good -Friendly helpful staffGood location down end of a quiet gangPrivate villasAir con was great and kept bedroom cool.Prompt airport pick up drop off.The bad -Most Bali hotels welcome you with a drink. It's traditional. This one didn't. I had to wait for the room to be ready for about 45 minutes which was fine as I arrived early but I was hot and tired and a cool towel and drink would have made all the difference.They aren't "new" at all as the name implies. They are indeed quite old and shabby. I believe they're overpriced like much of Bali now. I paid $125 a night for 1 bed villa with pool. I think it should be $80 maximum.The door to the villa was old and always took ages to shut. You have to bang them so you can hear everyone banging their doors trying to close them. It was an annoyance having to spend time trying to close it every time I went in and out.Pool had a really loud pump that never stops. When you flush the toilet or turn a tap on another even louder pump comes on. I go on holiday for peace and quiet not to listen to loud mechanical sound. I mentioned it to the staff and they said they will get a timer for the pool pump. I never heard back from them but 2 days later when I could no longer tolerate the noise I had a look under the pump cover and saw there was a timer in there so I had to set it up myself and deal with the old exposed electrical cables etc.The pool water quality wasn't great either. It looked cloudy with algae growing on sides.The bathroom has no separation at the top of a wall from the villa next door so you can hear them doing their business. It's a very easy thing to fix yet it hasn't been.When I checked out I was presented with a figure on a calculator. I had to ask for the breakdown. She showed me a stapled bunch of receipts I signed but was obscuring one of them. It was a $7 cappacino I never had. When I questioned it I was told it was another room. She didn't change the total so I asked and she said "you can check if you want" and pointed to the calculator. It was highly unprofessional and very awkward. I didn't bother checking and I believe that's what she was hoping. I left feeling like I was fleeced. It's a common theme in Bali. Everywhere you go people are trying to scam. End of the day she may have made a few extra dollars but I won't return and I will recommend others don't stay there.Some people arrived in the villa next door and were super loud late at night.I wouldn't stay here again nor recommend. It's worth paying more for a better experience.

It was lovely to have our own private pool and breakfast was brought to us each morning. Good location - 10 min walk to the beach, 2 minutes to a lovely spa and 2 minutes to the markets. Lovely bathroom - unfortunately we didn’t get time to use the beautiful bath tub. Staff very friendly. Bedroom was very comfortable!

The breakfasts are very limited, on top of that they make you choose between 1 breakfast without being able to combine other things, and it falls very short. I chose French toast and could I only add toast? Toast with toast? They charged you separately for the coffee and we paid for breakfast included....We ordered dinner several days and the food was very bad..... pizza with a hard and undercooked base..... fish and chips with undercooked and green fish..... a meat pie that tasted very bad. ...On the other hand, we paid 43 euros to do a late check out of just three hours, we had to leave three and a half and they didn't even come to bring us toilet paper or towels or clean the room and even more so considering that the previous day had been the nyepi and we had two days without anything....The pool has dirty and cloudy water since we arrived, leaves at the bottom and dirt that was never cleaned....Hot shower water lasted just 3 minutes, cold water every day to shower....When you turn on water in both the shower and sink, there is a foul smell.....Anyway, for that price we came from other truly luxury villas and it was not really worth it because it is very mediocre.Look for more options for that price, there are many and much better ones.Sheets with holes and curtains with holes too
