This was my first time staying at a hotel near Seoul Station. It's about a 10 minute walk.Conveniently located within walking distance of Namdaemun and Myeongdong.Apartment style rooms are equipped with refrigerators and washing machines. There is no problem with breakfast as the menu is extensive. There are many restaurants nearby so you won't have any trouble finding a meal. This is a business hotel that you will want to stay at next time.

I heard trains going back and forth. Can’t find switchers of light in the room. It’s hidden. I asked person from reception to come and show me where is it and he did it quick. You can find switcher on photo. Very unusual. Then in the morning bunch of cleaning ladies started to speak loudly at 7-30. Tried to sleep but they were so loud. Asked to keep voices lower one lady started to knock to my door. But I’m without clothes! What is that she wanted. Some electricity so let’s doesn’t work.

I stay in this hotel in Oct 2024. Booked it through Agoda.Staying at Ramada Hotel and Suites Namdaemun has been the most unpleasant and unenjoyable of all my hotel stays in Korea! The hotel's confusing policy had misled me to think that (I quote) "Children 3 - 12 year(s) stay for free if using existing bedding". This is correct as at my time of booking in Jul 2024. They had updated their policy since my stay, see attached photo for original policy. On my check-in day, I'm appalled that I was denied check-in by the counter staff unless I paid for a room upgrade of 450,000 KRW to a room type that allows kids to "stay for free". I was left helpless and reluctantly paid that amount so that my young kids (aged 3 and 5) can quickly get some rest. This "stay for free" logic is deceiving and out-right false advertising!Upon seeing my room, which is labeled as "suite", I am once again appalled by the condition of the room. One of the air-conditioner was not working! There were many little remnants from previous guests, e.g., leftover snacks in drawers, mascara sticks on the floor, candy wrappings on the TV console, etc. The "suite" room is nothing like a suite room and nothing worth paying an upgrade for.My feedback on the faulty air-conditioner also did not result in any changes for my entire 3 nights. Paying 450k KRW for such subpar service quality is extremely disappointing. I requested to speak to the manager as my extra payment was clearly not unjustifiable.Max, who is Head of Frontdesk, was elusive to get hold of, showed little effort and sincerity to improve guest's experience, and had no empathy to guests travelling with young kids.I only got to speak to Max late into the night at 11pm. Despite hearing me out, he insisted the same "stay for free" logic. I questioned him on what concept of "free" is there if it requires extra payment. Max simply avoided my question. He got impatient over the call and finally mentioned (and repeated) that there is nothing he can do for me. Furthermore, he claims to be the "biggest" when I requested to speak to his supervisor. He offered no satisfactory resolution to appease guest's frustration and disappointment except for a pointless reply of "he has nothing he can do" for me.

This Ramada hotel is located directly north of the Seoul Subway Station. It takes about 8 minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel, and is located on the east side of the railway line. The hotel's reception service and cleaning service are very good; the hotel's facilities are a bit old and the room decoration has aged. The sound insulation of the room is very good, but the sound of the train passing by the tracks at night can still be heard. There is an Incheon Airport bus stop at the entrance of the hotel on the first floor.

I liked that the room was very spacious.Specially when I checked in, the front desk upgraded my room.It looks a little old, but it seems to be clean and well maintained.
