Staff was very friendly and helpful but speak very little English-- almost all communication was via a translation app on smart phones, which worked fine.  …

We stayed in the Main Complex and our stay was great! It was very clean and soaps were provided in the bathroom. You can also make coffee and tea, there is a mini refrigerator and you can make cup noodles. …

I would give this 10 stars if I could. The manager/caretaker when we stayed (Ms. An) was just the sweetest and made our stay beyond our expectations. We stayed two nights in the Andong Hanok Village which is a UNESCO site. We wanted to use the sauna at the hotel , but it wasn’t working at that time. Ms. A called someone ASAP to fix it, but since it was too late it did not heat up in time. We used it the next day and she prepared some boiled eggs and juice for us to make sure we were nutritionally replenished after the sauna.Breakfast was also included in our stay and Ms. A made the best bulgolgi. I still think about it to this day. The beef was perfectly cooked and has this nice flavour from the heat using the traditional cooking pot. We were invited to their main house located a few minutes drive away for our second breakfast. It was under a soft opening, but much larger. It was beautiful.I would highly recommend anyone considering staying here to do so. How often can you say you stayed at a unesco site. You have a private bathroom in all the rooms. The bed was comfortable and floors were heated well. We turned on the AC as it got pretty warm. The air was fresh and the view around the village was magical. The price is not cheap, but I think it’s worth every bit. Do bring earplugs tho… it’s quiet at night under the rooster decides to call… then it calls a lot hahaAnd a little tip - it’s hard getting around by bus. You can negotiate with taxi driver and hourly rate or daily rate. We got a taxi driver to the city for 35,000won. Then we asked for his hourly rate and got quoted for 20,000won per hour and had him for 5 hours. He took us around to all around Andong to different sites and was really nice. I read online some people was able to get a daily rate of 120,000-150,000 won for the full day. I have the taxi drivers number if anyone needs.

We missed an important transportation link during the day to get here, but the owner/staff was most gracious and helpful in accommodating our arrival and welcoming us at the late hour.
